Liquid Fish Oil - Non GMO Omega 3 for Dogs & Cats, 16 oz

Was looking for a high quality fish oil to supplement our cats wet food and this was the one! Some folks complained about smell, ours just had a hint of fish smell but definitely did not smell rancid or off. Started with only adding acouple drops and worked up to 1/4 teaspoon and wow they love it! Usually the cats leave a tiny bit in the their bowl but they clean off the bowl when the oil is added. Only two weeks in so no discernable difference but glad to have a proper fresh omega 3 source in their diet. I have been following directions and storing in the fridge for freshness, and only negative comment is that the opening is not the best for small drop portions so i do need to wipe the lid each time but that annoyance is not enough to deter us from this product!

Pet seems to like it so far. We're adding fish oil for her joints. Only issue is I prefer the old cap (flip top dropper) to the new one.

I got this for all my pets, but particularly 2 of my cats with Chronic Kidney Disease (stage 2), and one of my dogs with allergies and severe itching. We're kind of new to using this, so I can't attest to the long term efficacy, but in consideration of the ingredients, I felt this was the best of many of the choices I've seen. The first evening, I added the appropriate dosage to all 4 of my cats and my 2 dogs' food, and they all loved it. Ate every morsel (and my cats almost always have some leftovers - not that time!). Since then, I've only treated the dog and cats that have health issues, and they continue to love the taste, and the smell. Which makes sense because this stuff smells TERRIBLE, to the human nose! I mean, maybe not to a fish monger, but to me - it's really awful. But that makes sense. They use multiple oily fish to make this, and they include Omega 3, Omega 6, EPA and DHA. I understand these are going to be great as anti-inflammatories for my pets - to maintain my cats' kidneys and keep my dog less itchy.But as others have said - the packaging is TERRIBLE. While it comes with a flip-type top, there is absolutely no way to tilt this enough to get the product out, without it dribbling down the side of the bottle, and usually onto your hands, and whatever's underneath it. At first, I just rinsed it off, and wiped it down. But apparently, I'd become nose-blind to it, because the next time I walked into the kitchen, my kitchen towel had made the whole room smell unbearable! Last night, I tried washing it with Dawn dish soap, knowing that breaks down oil. Well, it doesn't break down that smell!I disagree with people suggesting a pump. I've had prior leakage issues with pumps and oils. What I think this needs is a cone shaped top, that can be capped, when not in use. I believe if I can find a cone top that fits this bottle, I'll be better able to direct that flow, before it glides down the sides... only time will tell...

My kitty had developed a very bad dry skin condition. Where she was even in pain and itchy. So I bought this fish oil and gave it to her 3 times a day at first just to help heal her skin and stop the itch she was so bad where I couldn't even brush her. But this helped her so much in just a week I already began to see results. And after a month now giving it to her twice a day her skin and her coat look so much better her coat shines now and I can also brush her now where I have never been able to before. She loves it I love it because it helps her. I don't love the fishy smell though! LolI highly recommend this and all the products by this company!

WE LOVE THIS SUPPLEMENT. DOGS FUR AND SKIN IS IN GREAT SHAPE AFTER USING. THIS IS ABOUT MY MOST RECENT ORDER OF 2 16 OZ BOTTLES. One bottle is new & good. The 2nd is old and leaking. The 2nd bottle expires in 3 months and includes the pump which you stopped including a year ago. Even the bottle I’m using now (and ordered new ones to replace as it’s running low) expires in 14 months. Clearly I was sent “new but old stock” and I’m quite unhappy. I can’t return or replace due to seller policy but we LOVE this stuff and don’t want one that sat for over a year and has leaky seals! The plastic bag is sealed but there’s oil all over the outside of the bottle and dark brown staining too.

I put this on any wet food that I mix with medicines. My feral cat will eat anything (mostly) that I add this to.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from reading reviews but wanted to try this out anyway. My bottle arrived in tact with the seal in place, no spillage. I did not get any pump cap like other reviewers, I got a typical regular cap that I press down on one side and the other side pops up with a little opening so I can squeeze out the fish oil. The first time I gave my baby this fish oil mixed into her food, she refused to eat and i ended up throwing her dinner away. The second night I mixed this fish oil into her dinner again, she was hesitant at first but then gobbled up everything. Now she gladly eats anything that I pour this fish oil on. So to other pet parents, your baby may take a day or two or even a week to get used to this new taste, after all it is something new and funky to them. I have yet to see the result or notice any changes in her but i truly believe this is a long term health thing so perhaps I will come back to comment in a few months. My baby is 10 lbs, I am only using very little everyday; according to the instruction she needs 0.5tsp (2.5ml) per day so this bottle will last me a long time like 6 months ?! Initially I measure every time but now I just eye ball it. I take a square of toilet paper and wipe the opening after squeezing out the oil, so my bottle is nice and clean. I put the fish oil in the fridge after opening, just to make sure it does not go rancid. I definitely don’t want this sitting in room temperature on the counter for months. I am glad I got it and will continue to buy. At time of purchase, this was priced at $43.50

I bought this for my senior yorkie to help with itchy skin. This helped a little with that but he seems like his overall health has improved. Seems like he’s got a little more pep in his step! My other dog, is the shiniest black dog in the neighbourhood!

Bought this on sale to replace an omega 3 pet bottle from nordic naturals, as far as I can tell my dog's coat stayed the same and he has no problem eating it with his food. It's been a couple months, the oil hasn't gone bad or rancid and smells exactly the same as when I opened it.Would purchase again on sale and make sure to refrigerate after opening!

Update. I am impressed with Fera Pets customer service. I will be purchasing the powder formulas to try.I couldn't get my cats to like this even if I only added a little to their food. It expires 3 months after opening, so perhaps the powder formulas are better for picky cats.

The product is very pricey. It’s very strong smelling and my cat won’t consume it. I’ve tried several ways to mask the taste and smell but nothing is working. I am unable to return it as it is “ineligible for return.”That’s a lot of money wasted, I’m not happy about it.
