Almost Lipstick Tinted Lip Balm in Black Honey | Sheer + Lightweight Moisturizing Lipstick

I don’t care what anyone says—this is the perfect lip color for EVERYONE. It’s honestly like magic. Somehow it seems to conform to your individual skin tone and becomes the perfect shade for YOU. Both of my sisters have tried mine, and it looks different on each of them, yet absolutely gorgeous on all of us. On my olive skin tone, it is incredibly flattering and gives me that perfect sheer wash of color without looking heavy or overdone. The formula is lightweight and feels more like a lip balm than a traditional lipstick, but you still get that beautiful hint of color. And can we talk about the packaging? The container itself is gorgeous—flat-out GORGEOUS. It so perfect and so much more for a tinted lip balm. This is one of those products that just WORKS. Pure magic. Need it. Want it. Obsessed with it. **BUY IT.**

I love this stuff. Probably one of the only lip colors I’ve ever repurchased. They aren’t kidding when they say it looks good on everyone. It’s smooth, moisturizing and not at all thick. There is no scent. It’s a little pricey but if you get a sale it’s not too bad. My only complaint is that it doesn’t stay on longer. However no mirror needed for reapplying.

I like to put a swipe of this over other lipsticks. It’s so pretty. The texture is soft and smooth. It applies light with one swipe and can be darker by adding more color. It’s very moisturizing, too.

Has been my fav lipstick since my first dance! Love the color so much and it looks good on pale skin too! Makes my lips really soft and the color lasts. Also a great use for blush. Wipes off easy if you get it on the side of your mouth or teeth haha. I buy this all the time. RECOMMEND!!!

Ok, so after seeing all of the hype around the Clinique Black Honey and how it would look good on any skin tone I decided to finally purchase it. On the color/look: I'm the type of person who almost never wears makeup, aside from an occasional lippie. Normally lip colors look far too bold to wear without any other makeup; though this shade Black Honey is great with or without other makeup! It has a nice sheer look upon first application and is buildable to enhance and bolden the color if desired. Really feels like a "your lips but better" look. On the smell: So, it is stated in the description that it has no fragrance. I think this is important to mention as I dont see too many other reviews on the smell. Immediately upon application I was surprised at it strangely smelling like CRAYONS. I'm not sure why but it smells a bit of like old or cheap drugstore lipstick? Or like the cheap lipstick you get in little kid makeup kits. Like a waxy crayon smell, which stays throughout the whole time of wear. It's luckily not super strong of a smell, though it's definitely a bit off-putting to me. On the application: Glides on quite smoothly, as stated before it starts off somewhat sheer and is buildable for more full coverage. Although it starts off sheer it definitely has nice pigmentation immediately. On the feel: Although advertised as a "moisturizing lip balm," to me personally yes, it feels smooth, but not moisturizing such as something like a chapstick. It feels light, though I can still feel it on top of my lips; sitting on top rather than settling into them. When rubbing my lips together the lip balm starts to feel a bit gritty. Though even with that slight gritty feeling, the color still looks good and undisturbed, not blotchy. It does not feel sticky at all, which is great! Though obviously if you're somewhere windy and you hair flies into your face, your hair will stick to the lip balm. On the value for money: Overall at $25 I think the value for money is decent, though I feel it should be a bit cheaper; Although the color is great, it truly to me feels kindof more like a drugstore product. As such I feel its a bit on the pricey side, also considering how in my opinion there is a lot nicer feeling products at this price point. HOWEVER, you do get a great amount of product, which for me should last a very long time even with frequent wear. So if you do like the product/color I believe that it is worth at least the one time purchase! Overall, I would recommend anyone interested in the Clinique Black Honey to at least give it a one time purchase to try it out! 7.5/10 ★

Very nice tinted lip balm. Goes on smoothly, doesn't dry lips as many products do. The black honey color is really a nice subtle tint- true to the samples shown. Over the years most tints & shades have inevitably turned darker than advertised. So this has been a very unexpected and pleasant surprise. Highly recommend

Color is spectacular but the lipstick makes my lips peel! There are a very few lipsticks that I can wear that don’t cause my lips to dry out and then peel. I was so hoping this one would work as I love the color. 5 stars for color and 1 because it made my lips dry. It says moisturizing but not for me. I can’t wear chapstick either. Same kind of consistency.

so natural looking, a beautiful berry tint. i love that i don’t need a mirror to apply this, i can swipe it on and it doesn’t look messy or too strong, it just blends in beautifully. i don’t need to wear lip balm throughout the day because this is so moisturizing. i feel so happy because i feel like arwen from lord of the rings when wearing this (it’s the color she wore!)

¡El mejor bálsamo que he comprado! La textura es suave, el color es increíble y la hidratación es muy buena. He batallado muchísimo buscando bálsamos que no resequen más los labios y no había dado con uno tan bueno como este y que además te deje un color súper lindo. Diría que es el mejor que he probado y el único que seguiré comprando. Definitivamente he quedado tan encantada con este producto que encargué otro para ya. Eso sí, el color no dura mucho, pero puedes retocar las veces que quieras ❣️.

I was expecting more. The product has a unpleasant taste and the color accumulates in the lip lines. It's not even hydrating.

schaut in der hülle echt dunkel aus, habe hell-rosa haut, war daher etwas skeptisch :) aber einmal aufgetragen wird es zu einem wunderschönen, dezenten beeren-ton. schaut echt klasse aus! hier auch nur halb so teuer wie im geschäft... es ist auch sehr angenehm auf den lippen, klebt nicht o.Ä. -würde ich immer wieder kaufen!

I could use this forever and not need any other lip product. I put a little bit and it gives a pinkish color. I add more and it gives a darker warmer color. Just perfect.
