Almost Lipstick Tinted Lip Balm in Black Honey | Sheer + Lightweight Moisturizing Lipstick

On my olive skin tone, it is incredibly flattering and gives me that perfect sheer wash of color without looking heavy or overdone. The formula is lightweight and feels more like a lip balm than a traditional lipstick, but you still get that beautiful hint of color. And can we talk about the packaging? The container itself is gorgeous—flat-out GORGEOUS. It so perfect and so much more for a tinted lip balm. This is one of those products that just WORKS. Pure magic. Need it. Want it. The black honey shade is amazing! I wanted to try it for so long, and I’m glad I finally did. I can wear it for a night out or swipe a little on to give my lips some color on days I do natural makeup. I do wish it were a bit more balm-y as I find myself putting lip gloss on top for hydration. It isn’t moisturizing or hydrating in my opinion. But because of this, I feel like the color lasts for a while since it kind of stains my lips.

Beautiful soft brown mauve but natural . It’s your lip but better ( I know cliche but…..) I love it and had never heard of it before. It has the ability to give you the slightest bump up to your own lip color , or you can apply it heavier to get a more noticeable color too. Moisturizing too. Either way, very natural. Love it. 😍

I can’t NOT review this product. I am so so so happy. I am extremely pale and have red hair. I always want the perfect pout to my lips to really show my lips natural color so that they don’t blend into my face. THIS was it! The perfect shade. They have a customer for life with this shade and product!

Ok, so after seeing all of the hype around the Clinique Black Honey and how it would look good on any skin tone I decided to finally purchase it. On the color/look: I'm the type of person who almost never wears makeup, aside from an occasional lippie. Normally lip colors look far too bold to wear without any other makeup; though this shade Black Honey is great with or without other makeup! It has a nice sheer look upon first application and is buildable to enhance and bolden the color if desired. Really feels like a "your lips but better" look. On the smell: So, it is stated in the description that it has no fragrance. I think this is important to mention as I dont see too many other reviews on the smell. Immediately upon application I was surprised at it strangely smelling like CRAYONS. I'm not sure why but it smells a bit of like old or cheap drugstore lipstick? Or like the cheap lipstick you get in little kid makeup kits. Like a waxy crayon smell, which stays throughout the whole time of wear. It's luckily not super strong of a smell, though it's definitely a bit off-putting to me. On the application: Glides on quite smoothly, as stated before it starts off somewhat sheer and is buildable for more full coverage. Although it starts off sheer it definitely has nice pigmentation immediately. On the feel: Although advertised as a "moisturizing lip balm," to me personally yes, it feels smooth, but not moisturizing such as something like a chapstick. It feels light, though I can still feel it on top of my lips; sitting on top rather than settling into them. When rubbing my lips together the lip balm starts to feel a bit gritty. Though even with that slight gritty feeling, the color still looks good and undisturbed, not blotchy. It does not feel sticky at all, which is great! Though obviously if you're somewhere windy and you hair flies into your face, your hair will stick to the lip balm. On the value for money: Overall at $25 I think the value for money is decent, though I feel it should be a bit cheaper; Although the color is great, it truly to me feels kindof more like a drugstore product. As such I feel its a bit on the pricey side, also considering how in my opinion there is a lot nicer feeling products at this price point. HOWEVER, you do get a great amount of product, which for me should last a very long time even with frequent wear. So if you do like the product/color I believe that it is worth at least the one time purchase! Overall, I would recommend anyone interested in the Clinique Black Honey to at least give it a one time purchase to try it out! 7.5/10 ★

This tinted lip balm is nice. I got it during Prime Day at a good price and it gives a beautiful cherry-like tint. The scent is quite neutral.

I wish I would have bought this earlier! I love this lipstick. I have sensitive skin and most lipsticks give me a rash, but this one doesn’t. The color is beautiful! And as a tired mom of 3 littles, this lipstick makes me look more put together in an instant. This is a forever keeper for me.

I had this before a number of years ago and remembered liking it, and now with all the hype and Prime Day discount decided to revisit it, and it's still great! It adds a nice tint of berry color to my lips. It offers a subtle enhancement, but is not overly colorful. While not having a real fragrance (being intentionally fragrance free) there is a tiny tiny bit of taste, from whatever ingredients. It is a bit of shine, a bit of tint and in a flattering shade. It is not especially long lasting, and I do find I prefer to add a second coat so I don't think it will last terribly long, but overall, I still like it.

He batallado muchísimo buscando bálsamos que no resequen más los labios y no había dado con uno tan bueno como este y que además te deje un color súper lindo. Diría que es el mejor que he probado y el único que seguiré comprando. Definitivamente he quedado tan encantada con este producto que encargué otro para ya. Eso sí, el color no dura mucho, pero puedes retocar las veces que quieras ❣️.

It's neither a lipstick nor a lipstick balm...

I was expecting more. The product has a unpleasant taste and the color accumulates in the lip lines. It's not even hydrating.
