100% recommend. Be sure to keep the lid on tight or something over the jar even while applying! When air gets into this jar, the product dries up pretty quickly & cannot be used. Other than this tip, the product is extremely effective in creating realistic, looking scars. Love this for cosplay and for Halloween. I receive many comments and compliments. I don't know why this is called a kit. I received one bottle of rigid collodion, which is all I wanted anyway. I would recommend changing the name of this listing. However, the rigid collodion itself is freakin' awesome. You can create the most awesome scar effects with this stuff. Suggested application - use the brush and paint your scar. Fan it dry. Repeat. Let the layers dry between adding more. The more layers, the deeper the scar looks. When it got near my mouth, it felt a little burn-y, but did no harm. For about 20 minutes after application, the skin under the scar throbbed a bit, but what do you expect when you're literally pulling on your skin? I got brave later in the day and added a scar over and down onto my lip. I knew it was a risk (because that skin is so tender), but had no problems there either. I wouldn't eat with it on my lips, but it did look great. When I was ready to take it off, it peeled right off in a second - no cleansers needed and no pain. If you can't get an edge to start peeling it up, stretch your skin around it and one will appear. It's that easy. Rigid collodion is probably the most effective and easiest Halloween fx you can do. But be forewarned - people will think your scars are real.

This stuff is the best. Makes realistic scars so easy to create for costumes and sfx. I bought this for Halloween last year and put a scar on my face. As soon as I walked into work, my boss did a double take, thinking it was real. I haven't tried it for much else besides scars yet, but I want to use it to create the "mummy" effect used on Boris Karloff. It takes a little bit of patience as you will need to apply it in layers and wait for each layer to dry before applying the next. The more layers you apply, the deeper the scar effect will be. I used a hair dryer on "cool" to speed the process, so it didn't take that long to create a good looking 3D scar. For best results, you will want to have some makeup handy to provide color and blending into the skin, so you can create anything from a fresh, angry looking scar to something that has had some time to heal. There is an excellent instruction video on the Beautiful You channel on YouTube, and I'm sure many other channels as well. I've heard some people on YouTube say that the smell is bad, but I don't think it's as bad as they make it sound. Spirit glue and acetone smell worse, at least to me. It should last all day, and removes easily with soap and water. Actually, once it's dry, I am usually able to simply pull it off; I just scrape a little bit at the edge to lift it a little, and it pulls off, mostly in one piece. Otherwise, just wash your face with a washcloth, like you might any other day. Easy. Sadly, I do not have a good picture to share, but if you combine it with other sfx procedures, you will be able to create some amazing realistic effects!

Wow! This worked better than I expected. Everyone thought my scars were real. I used makeup to enhance the scars to look like they were at different stages of healing, and I couldn’t stop staring at them myself. ** I have NO scars on my face. This is all from the scarring solution and applied makeup ** The pulling can restrict normal movement. I recommend either using it in areas that don’t bend or be prepared to have some slight restrictions. Mine was on my face so I had to be careful with facial expressions. Also, I used about 2/3 of the bottle to get the results in the pics. 10/10 would recommend. I did this for a Halloween shoot, and we did some serious hiking in the woods. I got a bit sweaty at times, but most of it stayed on my face. The close ups are the end of the day. Only slight pealing at the edges on some. Buy a removal solution. I didn’t, and it was hard to get off. I saw someone say it just peels off, but removing it that way irritated my skin. I used makeup remover wipes to help, but there was still a lot of pulling from the adhesive. The redness went away in a few hours, but my face was sensitive. Be smarter than me. Lol

The more you had, the more it deepens the ‘Scar’. This is perfect for cosplay & definitely adds a cool touch to your look

This product works very well. When you use it, you will see the results form in a second. I definitely recommend buying this product if you need scars. I didn’t do too much since I still wanted to look cute.

With layers you will get the look you are going for, it will leave a red make on you for a day, it is also very hard to get off

It's a cheat as the bottle is like a sample peice , That to I recieved a dried up product .. I want my money back
