These are by far the best AND most effective sprinkler in the known market. I’m a retired, licensed, irrigator that has designed, installed and maintained commercial and residential irrigation systems in Texas for many years. This product is very easy to design, install AND maintain. However, it is a BIG mistake to install MPs on a zone with other types of nozzles. All MPs can be used on the same zone.

I have had these heads for several years and have converted more of my sprinklers to these recently. These provide the best coverage and my lawn had some burn areas. Updated with these heads and the whole line is green and even watering. Also if you have low PSI these heads help as they are lower GMP vs others. With that the time has to be increased to get the same amount of water. I highly recommend these sprinkler heads!

I gave 4 stars even though the rotator sprinklers are FAR from ideal. Among old Toro, Rainbird, and Hunter, Hunter's have worked the best for me. Toros had terrible clogging problems. They would just stop rotating. I think they were discontinued for that reason. The Rainbird rotation mechanism was hard to adjust with respect to angle: sometimes the required pressing down failed to engage the adjustment mechanism. Next thing you knew, the mechanism was apparently damaged, and rotation became much too fast. That problem is a show-stopper for me. That said, there is much greater adjustability in angle, and the radius adjustment is VASTLY superior to that of Hunter. It's easy to grip, has a wider range, and, while it does throttle the rotation rate, the rotation at full radius has speed to spare. The Hunter 1000 series is more reliable and holds up better than the other two. The angular adjustment, while covering a smaller angular wedge, is easy, although the water has to be on for adjustment. The huge negative is the radius adjustment. It's done via a TINY screw at top center of the sprayer. There is an adjustment tool that is supposed to make engaging the screw easy, and it works okay some of the time. I have one used sprayer that the tool won't engage at all. I have to use a SMALL jeweler's screwdriver to adjust it. Like with the Rainbird, radius adjustment requires the water to be on. That means you're likely to be in range of another sprinkler while you're doing adjustment. Will everyone who likes to be drenched along with your jeweler's screwdriver while struggling with a fussy adjustment please raise your hands? One solution is typically to put buckets over nearby sprinklers, but what a pain! It gets worse: Even with 70 psi, the head rotation is slow at full radius. Reducing the radius slows rotation to the point that it can be hard to tell if the rotation mechanism is even functioning. My answer: operate at full radius. The radius adjustment is only 25% anyway. Bottom line: These things tend to be unreliable and fiddly regardless of manufacturer. Hunter's 1000 series is the best I've found in both departments so long as I can get a workable radius by swapping out sprayers.

These failed to spin after 4 months of use. They still sprayed water but without the rotation coverage was terrible. They are expensive so I expect them to work longer than this.
