I needed a reliable and affordable tape measure for my part-time job, and the Komelon 4912IM has been a great choice! It’s compact enough to fit nicely in my pocket, making it easy to carry around. The 12-foot length is perfect for most of my tasks, and the dual inch/metric scale is really convenient. The tape is durable and the lock mechanism works smoothly. It’s tough enough to handle daily use, and the ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a practical and budget-friendly tape measure!

Very very good
An excellent tape measure for the price. Solid, accurate, locks up well. I've bought a few of these because they're the best on the market for the price.

A solid well designed metric and standard tape measure at a great price
Just got this tape measure, I am very satisfied with this. it is of decent weight and it feel solid, durable and well designed , despite being made of plastic. It works better than my old Stanley measure, the tape goes in and out smoothly and fast, without hesitation. I like the nylon coating on the tape, he numbers are well demarkated, easy to read and see, crisp printing, and it has a solid feel. it locks and unlocks smoothly and the edges have ridges for a nice grip.

Good EDC tape measure
I've had this tape for 8 months now. It is holding good, with expected wear for an EDC. It will hold for 4-6 months more probably.I live in Costa Rica, so I need a hybrid tape measure, with both imperial and metric readings. Both systems are commonly used here. This size is perfect for me as I work a lot with wood. 10 footers are a little small as many boards come in 12ft. 15 footers are too bulky for an EDC. This is a very good size, it holds good on the hand, it has a spring kicker plate to avoid damaging the clip when retracting fast, and the most important, the measurements show the full inch and cm number: i.e. it doesn't show 1, 2, 3 after every foot or every 10 cm, it show the full inch and cm number all the way to 144" and 350cm. This is a must for me as it avoid silly reading mistakes. The accuracy is about standard. It has a half millimeter error when reading from the tip. The inside and outside measurements do match, so the tip play is calibrated. The nylon coating is average. Do oil it from time to time if you use this and wet environments.Overall, a good EDC tape. My go to for now. Cheap to replace also.

good quality
I recently bought a tape measure from HF and was appalled by the poor build quality. I decided to get a new one with metric on it and this was very affordable and a good size for my needs. My first impressions are very positive. The build quality of this tape measure puts the HF one to shame and rivals the larger Stanley tapes that I have. Just received it, but so far, I like it a lot and may grab a couple more ,so that I have more tapes with metric on them.

Best way to learn metric length
This is a great tape measure in general, sturdy easy to read and compact. But its best feature is that it is marked in both Inches (1/16" resolution) and Metric. So I'm finding it's the best way to start becoming more conversant in metric equivalents of the more familiar inch measurements.I was trying to find a small project enclosure on Amazon and many of them give metric sizes. But I had no intuitive feel for 70 mm. Sounds huge, but I know a mm is pretty small. So actually how big is a lot of a small thing... I dunno... let me get a calculator 'cause the one thing I do know is there are 2.54 cm in an inch. Ok so punch in 70, divide by 10, divide by 2.54 and get 2.75 inches. I can calculate it but I have no feel for it, yet.But with this wonderful tape measure I just pull it out to around 70 mm and immediately see ah ok that's a bit less than 3 inches. It's a perfect representation of not only the numeric conversion but also a compelling visual that I can relate to much better. And thus will remember. I was able to use the tape measure to approximate the stuff that needed to fit into the project box and could then quickly chose the ideal size from Amazon.I love this tape measure, and will order another for my workshop.

Leave it in the box!
I bought this tape measure 5 years ago, according to Amazon. It is packaged such that for household use, you can leave it in its packaging and everything still works perfectly. Why leave it? So that I can always find it easily. It is small, and the packaging is yellow and big and makes it easy to find among my pile of junk. My 5 year old tape measure is still in its packaging, works great and I use it all the time, and I never have trouble find it until recently, when my son keeps taking it to do schoolwork and doesn't put it back, so I am buying one for him so that he can leave mine alone. It is in both ft and cm, which is handy. So remember, if you don't plan to pack it around on your belt, leave it in the packaging, and you will thank me every time you find it in a flash. Buy it for your mom for her birthday. It is perfect for old women like me.

For the price - perfect
Needing to replace an old Craftsman 12 ft tape measure, I decided on this one. I don't use them nearly as much as when I was young, but when you need one, you need it then. It is all I wanted. LIght. Sturdy. The tape is stiff enough to reach out about 5 ft. before it loses it lineal strength. Plenty long enough. Just a long as the old Craftsman that broke its spring and would not retract. Added bonus are the CM markings to complement our standard IN/FT. I noted a review that indicated the CM's were not accurate at full length. They are fine on the one I received. Very Accurate. Cannot verify durability, but it sure feels like it will last. Price was great. Hopefully the last one I'll ever need.
