Amazon Brand - Solimo Cleansing Skin Cream with Eucalyptus Oil, 12 ounce (Pack of 4)

As other reviewers have said, if you're looking for the "original" Noxzema you used in the 1990s, Solimo has the formula on the money. The last order of actual Noxzema brand I got was a blue tub of a watery substance that had a completely different texture than Noxzema is supposed to have. Solimo's Noxzema looks, smells, feel-like, cleans, soothes, and kills acne bacteria just like "real" Noxzema; hopefully without whatever quality control problems Unilever apparently has. This is the last of the truly great products that's still sold at a very affordable price. My daughter and I are stocking up!

Works excellent as a preshave lotion which is why i bought it. However, lower stars rating is because it is somewhat gritty in texture rather than creamy. Scent is also not that appealing although tolerable.Updated review and stars rating as i discovered that if you stir this product it turns nice and creamy and stays that way. Now i am delighted to use this as a preshave lotion.

I am satisfied with this product. I buy private label brand deep cleansing creams because they often contain the original ingredients, whereas the original has changed it’s formula. The RiteAid version is whiter and has a superior fragrance, however I am satisfied with using this brand and it is more convenient to buy at this time.

This product reminds me of Noxema. I used to use it quite frequently. My skin looks and feel softer ans looks brighter. This is a great product for the skin and the price is great.

There are a lot of reviews here complaining about the color and the texture of these Solimo cleansers compared to current Noxema cleanser.Firstly, the texture reminds me so much of old school Noxema from the 90s. The photos here make it look lumpy but it’s more like a whipped, fluffy texture. Noxema wasn’t always as smooth as it is today and if you’re looking for an exact match of current Noxema cleanser, this product isn’t for you.Secondly, the color isn’t a stark white, more like an off white or cream. I’m not bothered by it, and I suppose it just means that fewer bleaching components are in the product.Overall the experience is as expected, it makes my skin feel like I’m using any Noxema style cleanser.

We have opened and are using 2 jars to this point. One jar looks and feels like cottage cheese, the other jar that we opened is a lot smoother texture. The smell is that of Noxzema and when it is first applied (from the smoother texture jar that we opened) it goes on similar to Noxzema, but shortly after applying it, it gets so dry that it almost feels like a masque, rather than a medicated cream. My skin does feel somewhat cleaner and smoother since I started using it as a night cream, but my wife stopped using it because she said her face started feeling itchy after applying at night before bed, for a couple of days. My teenage daughter is using it (the cottage cheese jar) to wash her face as you would use soap, but she cannot use it everyday because it makes her face a little red. Overall, it is ok for me but not for my wife and 50/50 for my daughter. I should have asked for a refund and the only reason I didn't was because even though my wife gives it a 1 or less. I would rate it a 3 and a half, (can't give it a 4 because of the cottage cheese jar and don't know what jars 3+4 will look like until jars 1+2 are gone) my daughter says 3.

recieved this today 08/20/2024 product expired 12/2021....pathetic.....

I recently bought the "famous brand" only to discover it was thin and watery and I ended up throwing the jar away. This stuff is exactly as I remember the "famous brand" (solid and firm) before the "famous brand" turned into a thin and watery mess. Great stuff. I love the smell and it works very well. Rinses off fully and easily.
