I have only had this ink a few weeks, but thus far I am very happy with the quality and price. One thing I would like to mention is the clear plastic (or cellophane) small covering over the ink port on the cartridge is rather thick. This cellophane covering is supposed to automatially be punctured when the cartridge is inserted into the printer - but after trying to force the cartridge into the printer several times, the cartridge wouldn't 'seat' properly. I thought the cartridge might actually be the wrong size. But I then grabbed a thumbtack and punctured the cellophane - and the cartridge then seated properly. Poke a hole in this cellophane if the cartridge won't seat properly.

I've only printed a few black/white pages with these cartridges so far, so I cannot yet remark on the longevity or the colored ink. These get 4 stars because installation was worrisome at first and the black ink is a bit lighter than brand name ink. As far as installation, there is a clear film over the tube the print heads connect to and the instructions mention nothing about it. I didn't realize that the print heads must puncture this film and that therefore there would be resistance when installing the cartridge. Thankfully I didn't attempt to peel off the film and instead just crossed my fingers that the print heads wouldn't get damaged. The printer prints fine after installing. I do wish the black was a bit darker, but I haven't attempted to adjust any darkening settings yet, so that may help. So far a good, cheap alternative to ridiculously expensive brand name ink.

Brought this replacement ink from this company for the second time. Had very good enclosed instructions when followed makes the process of changing cartridges easy. The printer accepted the cartridges without having to reboot the system as noted with other replacement products. The Black ink cartridge is larger and the printer uses this color a lot more. Would suggest they offer black cartridges only or add more Black cartridges to the package.Would recommended this product for the Brother Model MFC -J491DW.

I think this replacement ink works pretty good for not being a name brand. We purchased a Brother printer/copier/scanner to replace our HP office jet. The upside was that the ink is more affordable, but the downside is that it doesnt last as long and it is hard to find replacement ink in nearby stores. I think there's only 1 store that sells it in my area. So, finding replacement ink on Amazon was our next step and I was looking for the most ink I could find at a decent cost. This was a decent price for all colors plus black. Not sure on longevity because I haven't printed as much as before, but so far, so good.

Since buying my Brother printer I have tried 5 different brands of the compatible inks and found this one brand to be a consistent performer with minimal issues. The other brands I tried all seemed to have frequent printhead clogging issues. After 5 orders of this brand, they have thus far avoided that significant problem.

I pulled off the yellow strip of tape and had yellow ink spurt out on my shirt, hands, and carpet. Once I spent an hour with alcohol and a shopvac, I cleaned up the cartridge and installed it. It works. Not sure if I'll order again. I'll follow up later.

I purchased based more on price than anything else. The print quality is OK for documents but not for pictures. They advertised that the printer would recognize the chip on the cartridge but it does not. Next time I need to replace them I'll be going back to genuine Brother cartridges, more money but you get what you pay for.

Did not work at all with my printer.....I usually give a good review, but in this case being thatthe lot & model number was supposedly compatible I purchased it.No good! Threw it all out immediately. $25 down the drain!Learned now, that need to order only "Brothers" brand.
