The GEL-KAYANO 25 is a lightweight shoe designed for long distance rides. This iconic street racing shoe has accumulated over 20 years of success, helping the overpronators to maintain stability and comfort over long distances. The last kilometer will be as comfortable as the first, thanks to the excellent Flytefoam cushioning midsole that helps the shoes recover shape after impact. This means that the greater the rotation of the foot, the better the stability will be.\nThe shoe has been improved with a range of new features, including a newly designed upper using a jacquard net for improved fit. Optimized fit and stability thanks to the metaclutch technology for excellent heel hold, a new heel lining for maximum comfort and a new medial support system, together with a more spacious tip, make the GEL-KAYANO 25 extremely comfortable for run great distances.

Yes! Return to my beloved Gel Kayano!
Finally. THIS version, the Kayano 25 is a return to the reason I fell in love with ASICS long ago. I don’t know why shoe manufacturers do this, but they mess perfection and cause some versions of their most popular shoes to disappoint. Why they don’t use the same last from year to year is beyond me. The Kayano versions before this one had become ill fitting, too narrow in the toe box, and unreliable. Version 25 fits like a dream. The toe box is just wide enough without being sloppy. The instep and heel are perfect. This shoe provides the perfect amount of stability and cushioning.I’ve been a runner for a long time. I think the first version I tried was the Kayano 19. I bought 3 pairs of them. They saved my feet and knees from an abundance of pain and kept me running. Thankfully, the 25s have restored my faith and love for this amazing shoe. Unfortunately, I feel like I’ll have to stock up these before they are changed again. ASICS, please stop “improving” the design, and just give us some new colors each season!

These are more spacious than some Asics
I've been going through the whole line since they discontinued the 190TR, which was perfect. I have plantar fasciitis and all the ones I tried made it worse. These keep it the same. I still have to stretch frequently and my feet hurt after a long walk, but at least I can go on a long walk now. I wore Asics exclusively when not at work before I got it because they don't irritate a nerve that was messed up during a vein stripping, and they don't loosen up on my heels like other brands. I think the problem was caused by my work shoes. not Asics. I wear GT1000s to work now, but they aren't as good as these. They are as good with the plantar fasciitis, but they squeeze the top of my feet. Every other Asics shoe made my feet hurt too much. I also tried Cumulus, Nimbus, Venture, Exalt and Kahana. I don't run very much in them.

Excellent for plantar relief
10 years ago my physical therapist said to get these shoes for plantar problems. Along with some exercises and being careful not to walk barefoot, my problems have gone away. I walk 11 miles in the city in these shoes and never have an issue. They are great and worth the price, especially for the deals on the less popular colors. Love my Asics.

Great stability
I have been searching for a replacement to my Asics GT 2150 shoes, and based on an online report highlighting the best running shoes for overpronaters, I purchased the Gel Kayano 25. The support seems adequate and is probably the best of the Asics I've tried (which isn't many), but I don't think it is quite as stable as the GT2150 from several years ago. :( I also notice the heel cushioning is not as good. But the main concern I have is the ridges on the sole. There is a serrated effect on the edge that I'm sure gives great traction for runners (of which I am not), but has caused me to stumble while walking on carpet. A spinal cord injury years ago causes me to limp a little and shuffle my feet, so this may not affect many others. If I end up keeping them (I'm trying some Brooks first), I'll have to file down the ridges a bit.

Love Asics
The Asics Gel Kayano is the best shoe for me. It is comfortable and works well if you have any form of pronation. The price on this older version was incredible! I wish they had more colors available.

Horrible!
The first day these shoes KILLED my feet. I am teaching summer school with a class of special education students I am following all over the building. They have some kind of bump that kills the top of your foot - even after bending and loosening them - 2 days later the bone under my big toe still feels like its been stepped on! I wish I could return them - for what they cost especially this is ridiculous. These shoes will make you miserable. Cute - but I will have to keep trying to make them fit - I wear a size 10 - that is what I have ordered in Asics in the past. Since I have already worn them all around school I assume I can't return them so I plan on stuffing towels in them and then bubble wrapping my feet before putting them on??? All jokes aside - I guess thicker socks and moleskin to protect my feet from the shoes - just sad for shoes that cost $100!!!

It is OK but the insole is very thin.
The shoes is fine, but the insole is very thin. I felt no cushion on the ball and toes.
