Awesome
After hearing a cut on our local radio blues show, and one from the preceding album, I decided to give this a try. What a wonderful discovery for the blues fan. This is a must have. This is a great album. Yes, I know it's a CD. There isn't a song I don't like on it. The remake of Purple Rain is the best. I played that song 3 times in a row when I first got it, I could not believe how good it was. This is some of the best blues I've heard in quite sometime. One song reminds me of the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan while another makes you think of BB King. Not that Aynsley is imitating them, just that the music has good roots. This has just enough edge to it to not be a polished studio work and the liner notes speak of this is as being recorded at the end of a tour. A non-live, live album. It shows as the band is very tight and songs are played with feeling. This proves to me that Aynsley is a superb talent and I plan on getting his previous releases very soon.

Aynsley Lister : Tower Sessions .
Tower Sessions is a Well recorded Album with a good backing band : Simnon Small: Drums , Midus: Bass Guitar & Vocals and Dan Healey : Keyboards singing and playing 11 songs with Catchy Tracks and nice Guitar Solos from the first song : Soundman , Sugar Low , Purple Rain , Quiet Boy! , Early Morning , What's IT All About , Hurricane , Hero , With Me Tonight , Crosstown Traffic and In The Morning , This Album was recorded Live at The Tower , Winchester - January 2010 without an audience , All Songs Written by Aynsley Lister except Purple Rain by Prince , personally like Aynsley's version better than the original and Crosstown Traffic by Jimmy Hendrix so if you like Everything I need another Great Album by Aynsley Lister Released in 2006 Tower Sessions is just as Good if not better : another must have CD for my Collection .

Interesting young Blues artist produces fine album
My introduction to Aynsley Lister was via my friend Bonnie who does a Blues radio program out of Rockland Maine - she played his cover of "Purple Rain". This is a very melodic and sweet sounding production, Lister has a beautiful and soulful voice and nice guitar technique. I really like that he includes 2 covers: doing an excellent job on both - work that contributes to and magnify the songs. His original pieces are good, though a couple are a bit uneven in quality- but maybe I'm just hearing it that way since he is a new artist to me and I'm not totally familiar with his work yet. I would highly recommend this album for a Blues or guitar oriented collection, especially if you are searching for younger talent.

Great Rockin Blues!
Thanks Amazon for suggesting this artist, who I'd never heard of, I downloaded the mp3 and every song rocks! I don't know how long he's been around, but I'm sure if he keeps making music like this he'll be around a long time!

Aynsley Lister Tower Sessions
If you enjoy your blues/rock with a little bit of edge then you will not be disappointed with this album. Having been brought up in my formative years listening to the guitar licks of Hank Marvin, Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher and more lately The Hoax and Joe Bonamassa I rather bought this C.D. on spec. The Band more than surpassed their expectations and mine, producing a live album with a twist. All the energy of a live gig but no audience. From the tongue in cheek opening number Soundman, the excellent Crosstown Traffic and my favourite track, What's it all about (I'll even forgive Aynsley's one duff note here)I have found myself continuously playing the C.D. in my car. My only slight criticism is Aynsley's rendition of Purple Rain which for me was a bit repetitive and probably 3 minutes too long. That said it doesn't detract from a great album and I look forward to watching the Band 'live' sometime soon.

brilliant discovery for me
I am new to Aynsley, I bought this CD on AMZ recommendation. This is a fantastic album and I just bought all Aynsley's previous CDs. If you like blues rock, from Clapton to Rory, John Mayall (the organ!), etc ... this is for you. There is much offerring in this kind of music these days and I have been disappointed with some of the stuff I tried, but this is tops. He has excellent guitar skills, a rhythm that's right on the spot, great voice, and a VERY GOOD BAND. I really lke the keyborads, it seems this is new in his music, we will see how it sounds in the other albums. Anyway, this album is perfect from start to finish, no filler, there is even a good version of Crosstown Traffic. MUST HAVE.

Missing just that bit extra. But worth top marks
I must say, the sound quality is superb, very clear, too clear for this to be classed as live. Don't get me wrong, this a good disc and the cover of Purple Rain has been long over due. I nearly dropped a star because of the missing atmosphere of a live show, but look at the title, it does not say Live on it. It would be cruel to mark it down for that. I have been watching Aynsley for quite a few years now and this is a good representation of him, shows how he has progressed and also how he deserves much more recognition.Well worth buying

Aynsley Awesome!!!!!
This CD shows how good Aynsley is live. Very, very underated, very, very talented and an exceptional song writer, others take note. And check out his version of 'Purple Rain' while you're at it. Can't wait to see him, again, at the Boardwalk in Sheffield later this year.AWESOME!!!!!!!
