My dogs have perked up like they feel so much better. They are perked up and playful and seem so much happier. Their stomachs aren’t growling , they aren’t belching and itching and farting and I just knew it was better for them. Them someone gave me pedigree. And they wouldn’t eat it.. for days! I felt guilty. I know it’s best for my girls!!

Good quality food. Two of my dogs loved it but my picky eater will take some convincing.

I checked the dog food advisor before I bought this food and it was highly rated for quality. I have a senior dog and he's very picky about food. Normally I kept him on a dry salmon mix but he really does seem to be enjoying this. It has glucosamine and other things to help with some older dog issues so I'm happy he's enjoying it.

Wellness Dog food used to be one of the best but sometime in the last few years something has changed, it doesn't smell the same and my dog doesn't like it as much. I switched to a new brand and my pup goes crazy at food time. If they figure out what ever has changed then they are great but until then I would say be cautious. The current state of the quality of the food could just be marketing.

We started our dog on Core Wellness Senior after trying the small breed version for our shih tzu. Being grain free was a must for us because other foods made her so itchy and gave her nasty red whelps. Both dogs love it and we had them on it for years. Recently, my 3yo shih tzu was diagnosed with struvite stones and we were told they are recurring so we had to switch her to another food. Other than that (and I am not saying that caused the stones) we were pleased with the Core Wellness foods and had added them to our subscribe and save list. The only thing I would change is the senior dog food only seems to come in the 12 lb bag so once in a while we have a gap of a few days where our delivery date is after the food has run out. It would be nice to be able to get a small 4 lb bag for when that occurs, but that isn't Amazon's fault. I can't find a 4 lb bag of the senior feed anywhere.

So glad to have a grain free dog chow for my senior dogs!It is a little more money, but it contains lots of ingredients that are specific to a senior dog's health, which means that you don't have to buy any additional supplements! So it tends to even out! And good nutrition can go a long way as a preventative to senior dog health problems (and the high vet bills that can come with treating those issues! So again, spending a little more for great nutrition can be a great investment!)

My dog is 12 years old and she does not like hard, grain free food. Unfortunately, she has very bad skin allergies and constantly licks her paws so we’ve tried a number of different grain free dog foods—this is one of the few she’ll actually eat. I add the wellness core grain free toppers to it sometimes and that helps.

My shih tzu had to switch to this food now that he’s older. He seems to really love this food always ask for more. After I was scared cause there big size kibbles but he seems to manage.
