Why are typical travel-sized toothpastes so small? With just about every other travel product, the containers are pushing the TSA limit, but somehow the toothpaste industry must think that the limit is an ounce. This size solves that problem, and prevents you from running out in the middle of your trip, constantly buying new travel toothpastes, and, most importantly for me, cuts down on all of the unnecessary packaging that comes along with buying such a small container.

Bought these specifically for travel thinking they would be the perfect size (bigger than travel size toothpaste but small enough for a carry on.) Actual tubes are "60% more value!" meaning they're too big for travel. Bummer. Returning.

I did not receive 2.8 oz tubes as noted in the description. The tubes I received were 2.5 oz. Not much difference, but on a trip it can be the difference between running out, or not. Also, I purposely order these (I have ordered them before) because I like having the attached, flip-top cap as shown in the picture. It makes it easier when traveling. These have the regular cap that must be completely taken off. It may very well be that the manufacturer changed the item, but it should be reflected in the description.I will keep them as I need them for my trip but note the description and photo are incorrect.

Perfect size for traveling for 3 weeks (for 2 people!). The tube was barely finished after almost 3 weeks of travel and it fit in a quart zip lock easily.

Meets TSA 3 oz security requirements in carry-ons and lasts two people close to a week. Certainly beats the so called "travel size" at much less than 1 oz sold in drugstores and supermarkets. Those are very high-priced on a per oz basis and are only good for overnight trips.

The taste is ok, tolerable I guess I'd say, since it is toothpaste after all. The benefit of this size is that at less than 3.0 ozs, it can go in my carry on luggage. There are smaller sizes in the stores but most of those don't look like they'd last for a 2 week trip, which is what I usually take.

As other reviewers have stated, these toothpaste tubes are falsely advertised. They're in 4 oz packages and the TSA allows for a maximum of 3.4 oz in carry on bags. Of course, this isn't a huge problem if you're putting toothpaste into checked luggage or if you use it for a few days before traveling, but it's the principle of the thing.
