I purchased this bark deterrent with equal degrees of optimism and skepticism. New neighbors have a German Shepherd that barks incessantly, approximately 15 to 30 barks per minute, for no good reason.I set up the bark deterrent last night at the lowest setting and within a few minutes, the dog was quiet. Turned the unit it off and the dog returned to barking. Whether it will produce long term behavior modification remains to be seen or heard.It has a rather bright LED that flashes activity and might draw attention to the unit. I'm covering the LED with foil to avoid drawing attention.The bark deterrent might be too sensitive. It seems to being reacting to a lot of false triggers, perhaps wind. I'm experimenting with partially covering the microphone to reduce the sensitivity.

I have a German Shepherd next door who barks at everything. He has a doggie door and lazy owners. He has been a headache for FOUR YEARS, until now. The Zelers Sonic Bark is WORKING. This is amazing and I am truly grateful. I am using mine through a wooden fence, with some gaps where the sound gets through. It's at the dogs head height on a table pointing at his yard. Keeps working better and better it seems. This is day three and the dog keeps getting quieter, and when he barks is quieter and shorter and fewer attempts at barking. Thank you!!!

Recently I got new neighbors with three large dogs who bark constantly when the people are gone. The barking is so bad it vibrates my home and scares my dog. Immediately when I put this outside the dogs acted shocked when they barked. The barking turned to small woofs. Then, they stopped altogether. Finally! There is peace. Hooray!

Howling husky became such a concern my HOA wrote me a nasty letter. We’re so thankful we discovered this! It saved our lives, literally!

This is really for outside though, so I only turn it on when she is particularly unruly! Very effective!

I gave this five stars because I don't believe products should have damaging ratings due to factors other than the actual product. I have no idea if this is a good product or not. I just wanted to leave a review to note to other that the website description clearly says "indoor/outdoor" use, but the user manual that comes with it clearly says NOT to use it indoors. I know some reviewers are, but I didn't want to risk over-correcting my dogs by using it indoors where it is going to be too close to them.

In the 10 days we have had this a difference can most definitely be heard around our neighborhood! The dogs next door were awful! If I didn't like the neighbors so much I would have been filing noise complaints. This has stopped 4 continuous barkers in their tracks. However, there is one fatal flaw: I can't keep a battery in this for more than 4 days before it dies. That is a ridiculous amount of money to be spent on batteries. If this had a longer battery life or was corded I would give it 5 stars in a heartbeat, but for the amount of money you need to spend after purchase....why bother? Maybe if MY NEIGHBOR was paying for the batteries?
