They work great
This is a review of my purchase of WL060PA Invacare chrome wheel locks for fixed armrest wheel chairs (1 pair). My mother has a Medline MDS806450 wheelchair. Over time, the original wheel locks have become worn and bent to the point that they are no longer repairable. I took a chance and ordered these Invacare wheel locks because their product picture closely resembles the old wheel locks on Mom’s wheelchair. A maintenance man at Mom’s nursing home installed the new wheel locks a few days ago. They appear to fit perfectly and so far they are working great. My 88-year-old mother says she no longer has any difficulty locking and unlocking the wheels. When engaged, the locks hold the wheels securely in a locked position. One very minor point: With the original wheel locks on Mom’s wheel chair, you had to pull back on the lock handles to lock the wheels, and push forward on the handles to unlock the wheels. The new wheel locks work the opposite way: push forward to lock and pull back to unlock. This is a design choice, not a defect in any way, in either the old locks or the new. Mom doesn’t care which way she has to push the handles as long as they work, which they do. I just brought up this point in case it might matter to someone.

Put me in a dangerous situation!
The bolts fell off these wheelchair licks within just a few weeks putting me in a dangerous situation. I contacted the seller through Amazon with photos detailing the issue. The seller told Amazon I didn’t contact them which is a total lie. Avoid this seller at all costs. If I could rate them zero stars I would.

Amazon had them. Manufacture said no longer available.
Easy to install, fair price. Went to the manufacturer for the parts. Told they were no longer available. Found on Amazon.

Great product
A little tricky to install with my old, decrepit hands, but I did it, and they work perfect.

Better & Cheaper Than The OEM brakes
Simple like most quality chairs come with, except the Medline K1 Basic series, which come with overly complex pull back to lock brakes. Clearly engineerex to break, so users buy a new chair. I tried these Superior & sig cheaper Invacare WL060PA breaks. Went on easily & almost worked. Needed 1/8th inch more press on wheel. As quick hack fix, I put few winds of electrical tape on lever that touches the tire. After that !Works Great. Later, I will use my Dremel to lenthen the slot on the brake assembly so its lever can press enough onthe tire to fully brake. With a simple tape hack, these brakes work better than the medline brakes that come on Medline K1 Basic series chairs. My specific chair is medline Excel K1 Basic MDS806150EE.
