Raypak 206,000 BTU Digital Electronic Ignition Natural Gas Pool Heater

This replaced a 20 yo Raypak. It was straightforward on installation - I did it myself because I couldn't find anyone in the area to do an install. Ran into a problem with no display when starting it up initially. Techs helped me through the diagnostic process and sent me replacement circuit board, which solved the problem. Only hesitation is that one tech said they weren't going to honor the warranty since I did the install myself -- but then he did, and sent me the board. So I think the company can be relied upon. Unit functions well now and heats a small 9000 gal pool quickly. Electronic ignition much better than standing pilot, which I had to fool with every year on startup, cleaning thermopile, replacing thermopile, etc.

Our purchase was just what we needed! It was delivered promptly and to our garage door. The pool heater was easy to install and works really well!

Bought this one in 2021 and same from Amazon in 2023. Each Lasted 2 years, thus both costs 5k plus. Only used in early Spring and mid-Fall. So, both together lasted 4 yrs. Fool me once, fool me twice. And they were both serviced properly

Ordered this from Amazon because of the great price and free shipping. Heater arrived on a pallet in perfect condition. Installed it myself in about 2 hours. Nice digital display and seems to be well built. Only warning is that if you install it yourself Raypack may not cover the warranty because it was not installed by a professional. I had gotten quotes from several companies that were 2 to 3 times the cost of the heater itself. I was just replacing a older heater so the plumbing and gas lines were already there. Just had to move it into position and reconnect. Works great.

Delivery was extremely quick! Had product within two days. Packaging was great zero damage. Easy installation took less than an hour. Didn’t need a professional. Compared to everywhere else price and quality are perfect! So far the heater works excellent!

You need a plumber and an electrician to hook it up. Works well so far. Keeps the temperature you set it to on its digital screen. Its twice as large as the last heater I had. Made by Rayvak, a division of Rheem, made in USA (not China).

Purchased this in March of 2023, used 2 short Illinois seasons went to turn on the other day when opened pool and it's not ignitining, it's clicking (sparking) like it wants to ignite but it's not. Emailed Raypak but no answer back. So probably have to pay someone to come take a look, plus Raypak never sent a manuel with heater to begin with and I contacted them about it as well. Very slow in getting back to you regarding issues.

I've dealt with Amazon since its inception - but never had it deliver (in 2 days) something that cost a couple thousand dollars and was fragile. Well, CONGRATS to AMZN ... they did better than amazing. And the Raypak heater is simply amazing ... runs 50% more efficiently than my old one and takes half the time to heat the pool. WOW ... talk about: CHEAPER / BETTER / FASTER == ALL 3!!!
