BravoBrand Reusable Gel Ice Pack for Injuries – Large (11” x 14”)

The design is pretty good, given that I wanted it for my shoulder and it's hard to get anything to stay on the shoulder. My biggest gripe is that the cold pack, when taken out of the freezer, is stiff and hard and does not bend to conform to body. I used my own Body Ice pack inside the cloth case. It is much better quality and conforms, however, the cloth close is really too flimsy to hold it in place and the velcro that keeps the case closed doesn't go all the way to the end. It's the best I could find for my shoulder, but it's still not great.

Imagine a tall, skinny book with two gel filled covers...that's what this is like. The pads don't form to my shoulder in any useful way. I can balance one rigid board on my shoulder, where it touches a couple of square inches, but then the other piece is either hanging down my back or my chest.Update: Okay, it actually does conform to shapes okay...just my impatience at work...wait a few minutes for it to thaw slightly, then it becomes malleable.

Well designed equipment. When you sore/strained or aching muscles on a specific area of your body that requires hot or cold pain management and you don't wish to hold the hot/cold pack, this is definitely your item to purchase from Amazon. The quality and construction is just what you need. the handsfree capability is just an extra. In addition, if you have additional cold/hot packs in your home, that fit nicely in the mesh enclosure.

The size is very good. It stays cold for a very long time. Yes, it is cold and yes, it is stiff, but easily pliable to the shape you want. The cover has 2 straps attached; one short and one long. It does come with an extension for one of the straps. The one drawback is that the straps are fixed in a certain direction. Since the pac is rectangular, if you want to change directions, the straps are not convenient. And trying to get it on your right arm/shoulder, the straps are not in the 'right' direction. Becomes very difficult to maneuver without help.

I like the product so far. I bought it for my shoulder for cold pain relief and it does a good job. The frozen pack was a bit stiffer than I expected and I had to work it a bit to get it to stay wrapped around my shoulder area correctly. Also not the easiest to put on by yourself for a shoulder... Though I managed. I have not tried it for warming.

I used this as an ice pack for my right shoulder. The pack is huge and flexible enough to fit around front, side and back of my shoulder. The only slightly awkward part are the straps that hold it in place. They should just be longer with additional area for the velcro to latch to for easier use. With more practice, it will be fine and otherwise very comfortable and provided good pain relief.

I developed a shoulder impingement (both shoulders) from doing repetitive work above my head (painting ceilings without a paint roller extension) - incredible pain and loss of movement. Ordered this on the advice of a doctor, and the relief provided was incredible. For some reason the ratings ask about warmth - you put the freezer pack in the freezer, so warmth isn't the idea, at least not for swelling! Great system and the freezer pack is huge, so it "envelopes" your shoulder and/or knee(s).Worked just as advertised!

I got this to ice my shoulder as I'm dealing with some inflammation and nerve pinching. It's definitely offered me some welcomed relief in the area and is large enough and gets/stays cold. I only wish the bottom side was more than a thin mesh netting so that my skin wouldn't be directly exposed to the pack itself but a simple towel or long enough sleeve shirt will mitigate that issue.
