Love the Fred Kelly picks problem is the ones I ordered are for left handed pickers. Almost certain when ordered they were right handed or did not specify…. But it does matter the ones sent are built opposite of the one I currently have.

Has become my favorite thumb pick. stays in place on my thumb and hits the strings nice on my banjo,

My only complaint is that “Amazon” accidentally sent me the incorrect ones however, these “Fred Kelly” picks are great picks. Be aware that the “large” and standard “heavy” picks are different sizes with different length pick ends. They can be somewhat reshaped using hot water or a hair dryer.

I first tried these out at a fingerpicking workshop. And a year later I found myself using them everyday. They are comfortable, firm for making clear connection with each string, durable, and they deliver the distinct and mellow (compared to metal picks) sound I am interested in creating. Wonderful picks!!!

My search is over. After a few years of trying all the popular and recommended brands, including some expensive ones I am done. The fit is perfect with a tad shorter blade than Dunlop or Blue Chip. The Delrin gives a clean sound without the scratch sound.I am using the heavy gauge for banjo.

Make sure that you get the correct size, and stiffness. It is not easy to tell which is which. The H is for heavy, I don't see much difference between the L (light, yellow), M (medium, orange) or the H. Personally I prefer the M. Don't confuse the other L, which stands for large, for the light.

These thumbpicks have worked well for me on banjo and guitar. They're smooth on the strings and pretty comfortable on my thumb.
