My daughter broke her arm and is in a full arm cast. To take the pressure off her shoulder during the healing process, she has to wear a sling. The slings the hospital provided were true and utter crap. This is the third sling I ordered and the third time was the charm. The first sling I ordered was harness style with a stabilizing strap that wrapped around the torso and injures arm. I figured that since my daughter doesn't want to stay still, this would provide the stability while offering mobility through her other arm. I was wrong. That sling was made of a material that had give, and her arm would bounce with movement. No bueno. The second sling ordered was very similar to this except the thumb loop (bungee material) was very small and tucked too far I to the sleeve of the sling this pulling her thumb back uncomfortably. The strap didn't have enough adjustability so my daughter's had was below the elbow. No ea bueno. THIS sling provides the perfect length to cover her whole forearm with the elbow resting perfectly. The adjustable strap is thick enough that it doesn't roll . The cushion support is very padded and provides all day comfort. The strap provides enough adjustment to fit my 12 year olds tiny frame. For the price point, I feel this sling far surpasses any expectations. The quality of the material used is better than the sling I purchased at twice the price. Happy healing!!!!

I sprained my AC joint (shoulder) and needed to keep my arm mostly immobilized. Took a minute to figure out which velcro attached to each piece but if you lay it flat it worked out quickly. The pocket for my arm was comfortable and a perfect length, the thumb loop was a bit awkward, I ended up not using it. The piece that goes around the neck has a small slightly padded piece for comfort but fir me it never stayed in place so it ended up rubbing on my neck. It is easily adjustable (loosened or tightened) with one hand.

Faced with rotator cuff surgery in a Florida summer, I decided to get a back up sling since I expected the one provided post op would become gamey in no time. I was immediately impressed with the lightness and comfortable cool feel of this sling but was annoyed that there were no instructions enclosed. I figured it out in little time once understanding the thumb loop, but based on the number of complaints, I think it would be helpful to enclose a simple diagram of the thumb loop and strap assembly. Overall, I like the sling. It is lightweight, cool and comfortable. However, I did find that the two strap velcro connection was a bit much for me for the fist few weeks after surgery. It was especially hard to loop the back strap without pain as I found to thread it through the D-ring forced me to move the shoulder more than I should or without pain. But after a few weeks, I could pop it on with less trouble. It has become my evening/night sling. Still a bit annoying to put on but very comfortable.

This definitely isn't the most comfortable sling, but the price point makes it practical for when you need something like this. I disagree with reviewers that said it was overly large. I'm quite petite (5'4" woman), and it fits fine if you adjust the length of the straps appropriately. Comfort is really the only drawback I found with this because the straps are affixed in a position where it cuts across my neck, and there's simply no way to adjust it that will correct that. But, it does what it's supposed to do at a low price, so if that's your criteria, this is a great solution.

I recently fractured my shoulder in an accident, and was using a sling provided to me by the ER. It was so difficult to put on by myself (and unattractive to wear to work, etc.), and I was hoping there was something better out there. This sling is so well-designed and made of quality material!! I am able to put it on and off easily with one arm. It provides the necessary support, and I can wear it to work or out socially without feeling self-conscious. I was so happy to get it delivered quickly, and the price was more than reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended!!

My wife had a stroke that left her right arm paralyzed- dead weight. This product has short strap that SLIDES so her hand is pointing to the floor and her arm is slipping out of the sling. the back of this thing is made such that her elbow does not reach to the back of the pocket. We have the adjustment all the way to the top but it does NOT hold. She is 5'5 and 160 lbs so this is NOT suitable for a full grown person, Cheap and poorly made.
