Bought a gem conditioner “cocoa”. Turned out to be really dark, wondering if the company’d offer an exchange to a lighter color or a refund?

If you purchased it through Amazon...would think that you could return it and receive a refund. Then purchase a lighter shade of shampoo and conditioner. Best of luck.

Will this work on greying hair?

I used to be a natural strawberry blonde. This product does work if you first use a root cover up on any white or grey patches. I use medium or dark blonde root touch up once every two weeks, and this shampoo or a tinted clenditioner every other day. I don’t have grey/white hair everywhere, only in a few places. She could be lying, but my hairdresser says the results look natural and like I paid a lot for my red hair.

If you don't like the color, can you wash it out.

Yes, absolutely. Some of the colors wash out faster than others. The bolder colors can take longer and it also depends on the porosity fo the hair. You can accelerate the process with a clarifying shampoo.
