Works well, easy installation

I had a heater under my bathroom sink for almost 15 years, and it stopped working. The plumber I called could not get the same one I had locally, so he came back with this Eemax model. What a disappointment! This one was noisy - about 3 seconds after turning the faucet on, the heater made a loud, annoying click, and then the water started getting warm a few seconds later. And the same click when turning the water off. It took much longer than my old heater for the water to get warm. Notice I said warm, not hot. It didn't make hot water at all. The water outlets are on the top, so it had to be mounted down low, taking up toiletry space. I added a photo here of this. I emailed the company, and they did call me within a few hours. But they couldn't help me with the loud click or the barely warm water temperature.Then 8 days later, the unit stopped working completely.I then asked the plumber to get me the kind I had before this, even if he had to order it, the Instant-Flow by Chronomite model SR 30l/120. He installed it yesterday, and it's wonderful. Hot water within 2 seconds, and plenty of it. It makes a tiny noise when it's turned on, but it's so slight, it's hard to hear. And the water outlets are on the side, so it is mounted way up under the sink, freeing up the floor space.I will never recommend the Eemax brand after this experience.

This unit is rated at 40 degree F temperature increase at 0.5 gallons per minute (GPM). To understand this first you will have to know what your cold water temperature is for where and when you want to use this device. My cold water source is about 50F in the morning here in January. Add 40F to that, the unit will put out 90F hot water. Next you need know understand how much 0.5 GPM output is. It is certainly not full throttle on the hot water valve. More like what comes out of a drinking fountain. You can simulate this in your kitchen sink with a gallon milk container to see the actual output. Now that your expectations are set and if that works for you, you will be happy with this product. It is compact, simple and easy to install. I installed this on my own in for a bathroom sink where there is only cold water source. I did not have a dedicated circuit for this but i do have it in a GPFI breaker outlet. You will need to get the proper gauge wiring to install this as it does NOT come with a power cable. Proper grounding is VERY important here. It is a high power appliance after all. One down side of my setup is that the lights go dim when this thing is running because they are on the same circuit. The instructions recommend a control valve on both the incoming cold water hose and the outgoing hot water hose, I did not have either one installed since my cold water pressure is in range and I can control the hot water output from my faucet. I spent about 35 bucks on additional parts from the hardware store to get this running and it took a couple hours since I had to run to the store a few times. No special tools are required. My complaints are that the cover is very difficult to put back on and that there's no where to grip when i was tightening the hoses to this unit.

This unit is economical and takes up very little space under my bathroom sink. Hot water in less that a minute. Much less. You'll love it.

This barely warms the water even when I cut back the water flow to almost off. Not something I would recommend.

Purchased to replace broken worn out one.Works Great

Poor quality. 1st one went out after less than 6 months. 2nd one didn't heat the water at all. And the device makes a loud clicking sounds when you turn the hot water on/off. Don't buy....low quality. There has to be something better out there....
