One of the best things you can do for your feet, particularly if you're flat-footed.
I got introduced to superfeet inserts a couple of years ago at a Sport Chalet and I make the investment into these replacement inserts everytime I get new shoes. These guys are nothing short of amazing. If you're on your feet all day (like me), do a lot of sports (ditto), or even doing a lot of chores around the house (see a pattern here?), you'll appreciate the extra support these guys offer over your stock insoles. So what makes the black ones different from the other colors? In a phrase, they're designed for low profile shoes or people with very low arches (read: flat footed). When I first started using Superfeet I started using the Orange and the Green ones because they provide the maximum support that Superfeet offers. Unfortunately they proved to be too painful to use regularly as they also have the highest arches as well. These guys on the other hand are much lower without compromising too mcuh on the support area and perfect if you have very flat feet. I'm a big heavy guy (6'2" 325lbs) who has to stand all day at work, so having these guys in my work shoes has made a marked improvement in my posture and reduction in back/foot pain. About the only detraction I can say about these guys is the price. Even with amazon's great prices you're still looking at around 30-35 bucks per set and more than 50 bucks in retail stores, which can add a hefty price tag to your final bill when you're upgrading both your work and personal shoes at the same time. Still, they're a lot cheaper than custom orthotics so the net result is still great. It's still a great investment for your feet and overall comfort, particularly if you're on your feet for most of the day.

For normal arches, go with blue
These are great arch supports. The only caveat being that I ended up purchasing the blue version (same brand) as well, which had much better (higher) support. If you have low arches, these are perfect. If you have normal arches, go for the blue. High quality, fits perfectly, and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend and repurchase in blue, but the black ones are still better than nothing in shoes with no support.

Good basic insoles for feet that tend to get sore.
I get tendinitis and ankle problems from some shoes and sneakers and tend to pronate. These insoles use a solid heel cup to keep your feet properly aligned, cutting down on instability. I've used them for years and they always keep my feet functioning correctly, even after a long day on concrete or hiking around. I generally use the hiking boot or sneaker specific insoles for my boots and sneakers but these work for those purposes as well. It's an individualized thing though and not every insole works for every person. Some of Superfeet's insoles weren't a good fit for me but these are. I am a repeat buyer many times over.

Cured My Plantar Fasciitis Pain
Superfeet are the cure for this old Infantryman's Plantar fasciitis. I use them in all my shoes and boots, and won't buy a pair of shoes or boots if I cannot replace the insoles with Superfeet. If you are using these insoles for the first time, they take about a week to get used to - your feet will hurt a bit because the insoles press up in areas on the bottom of your feet where you are not used to feelng pressure. Stick with it. Your feet will adjust and you will be much happier in the end.

Only insole that's ever worked for me
I have very flat feet that have never been comfortable in any athletic shoe or supportive insole. These comfortably support my feet without feeling like they're trying to 'correct' them, causing arch pain like insoles usually do. I wear a size 13 shoe and had to order the 13.5-15 size in order for them to be comfortable. Your heel needs to feel cupped and supported, so if you aren't sure on the size, lean to the larger side. I tried the next size down first and it felt like my heel wanted to fall off the insole, making my foot constantly correct its balance, causing strain and fatigue. The next size bigger was perfect, after trimming the end to fit in my shoes. I've tried countless insoles and none have caused anything but pain. These are not only comfortable but I can't imagine wearing shoes without them now.

Good but not great for my feet
Good but not great for my feet. The low profile is more comfortable than the other Superfeet insoles I have (blue). This however depends on the shoe. I have the blue ones in my hiking boots, where they are comfortable enough, but in any other shoes I have the blue ones make my feet hurt. I wear the black Superfeet in my everyday shoes and also a second pair in my running shoes. I tend to notice tendon pain just in front of my heel for a day or two after going for a run, and it's likely that the insoles are at fault. And this is after I had them fit and trimmed by a professional at Jackrabbit running store in NYC. Part of the problem is my feet, but I've had comfortable insoles before so it's also a matter of finding the right fit and material. Superfeet doesn't quite do the job for me, so I'll wear them for now, but the search continues....

Initially really comfy but having a hard time adjusting to wearing them for longer periods...not Superfeet's fault! I have a comfy Blue pair and they're more relaxed.

I got these to replace the standard insoles for some Roces M12. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable.
