Saw this on Wirecutter, had to order one. It works as described! Stirs fairly smoothly without getting almond butter oil all over the place. I would only advise prospective purchasers to MEASURE THE JAR'S MOUTH and compare it to the specifications for this model (3" / Model 100)! If you didn't measure your jar and the lid doesn't fit when you receive it: THAT IS ON YOU. Alternately, if you go to the Witmer Products peanut-butter-stirrer page on witmerproducts dot com, you can download a PDF for "Recommended Mixers by Brand." My only complaint is that the lid insert (the stiff plastic thing with the tab) deforms a little over time. You can buy replacements for that (and the rubbery gasket) directly through the Witmer Products website (these items are possibly available on Amazon, but honestly, I didn't go looking).

My new favorite kitchen gadget!!!!! I love this nut butter mixer so much! It's super easy to assemble, easy to use and easy to clean. No more mess when you need to mix your new jar of natural peanut/almond butter. And it mixes the butters so well!!! It REALLY works. Super durable metal mixer! I HIGHLY recommend this product. I just love when a simple gadget works super well!!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I would give this product 5 stars EXCEPT the lid is too big for my main brand, Trader Joes. But you can hold down the lid and use this stirrer anyway. Otherwise this is a great little gadget that does what is says; it stirs your peanut butter when it separates, and lets you avoid making a mess. It is easy to wash and store. I like the way the liner lets you clean off the stirrer when you pull it out of the lid.

I’m not in the habit of leaving poor reviews for products produced by small U.S. companies. This had been on my wish list for a while, and I finally bought it, even though the price had gone up. It’s marketed as very easy to use, but I found it anything but easy - messy, ineffective and just plain unsatisfactory. When I tried to return it through Amazon, they said it “wasn’t available for return,” even though the original order plainly says “free return.” It’s not cheap, so I was very disappointed.

worked well enough for me. the device fits the Adams peanut butter jar as listed. HOWEVER, I needed to remove the hard plastic insert with the tab. I could not get the lid to seat enough to screw on. I removed that piece and it worked well enough. I ate the residue that I had to scrape off.

Fits on Santa Cruz peanut butter. My hand would be sore after stirring a new jar of PB so I finally got this. It’s so much easier! I usually still do a quick knife stir at the end but this takes all the work out of it. I love it!

This is such a neat little thing! Got it for my (eighty-something) mom for Christmas who was always wrestling with her jars of Adams Natural Peanut Butter (16 oz), trying to stir them. Fit right on the jar, easy for her to stir, and didn't leave a mess when done. I'm not a gadget person but come from a long line of peanut butter lovers so am sure glad I made this investment. I'm happy to say it not only arrived super quickly (I mean they put it in the mail the same night I ordered it-wow!) but mom is no longer wrestling with jars of peanut butter, swearing up a storm. I also should mention that the Adams website does not recommend putting their 100% Natural Peanut Butter in the refrigerator, something she'd done previously and which made it like peanutty cement. The stirrer works, stays clean, and somehow magically keeps it stirred although a jar of peanut butter doesn't last too long here anyway. Go for it! No more stirring with a knife, oily spills, or truck driver language. Seller is great too and I thank them. Yay!

This product is just what I have been waiting for! All those years wasted fighting the stiff peanut butter with a knife or a spoon. No more! The model 100 fit the peanut butter brand we use ( Laura Scudder's Old Fashioned peanut butter - 16 ounces, 3 inch lid -- we use the"Nutty" version -- bought ours at Kroger), The stirrer was easy to assemble. I found that it was easier to screw the stirrer onto the bottle if I raised the stirring rod a little bit to get it off the bottom of the bottle. Once the lid is screwed on push the rod back fully into the lid and start stirring. I have a little non-slip pad on my kitchen counter which helped a great deal for the first few turns through the stiff peanut butter. After that it was a breeze. I raised and lowered the stirring rod a couple of times and then removed it by pulling it straight our through the hole in the lid. This action removed 99 percent of the peanut butter from the rod. Tthen I unscrewed the lid - removed the rubber and plastic gaskets and washed every thing. (a couple of minutes only). I love it, love it, love it!!!!!

This simple little gadget really works. It fits perfectly on my favourite jar of natural peanut butter, so I will leave it there and never again have to eat hard, oily peanut butter because it was too difficult for me to stir thoroughly. Even with my 82 year old, arthritic hands it is easy to mix in both directions for creamy, smooth peanut butter. I love it!

This little device is a game changer. We have been trying to eat natural peanut butter for years, but the oily top and thick, sticky bottom makes it hard. Messy knives after trying it stir it, yuck. This has changed all of that. Crank the handle and the peanut butter is all mixed and ready to spread. Make sure you buy the correct lid size, measure the brand you usually buy.

This item does NOT fit a normal peanut butter jar. It is way too small and other than doing a transfer into a mason jar, it is not useable. If I wanted to do a transfer, I would just mix the peanut butter in a bowl like we do now. I was looking for an easier method of mixing natural peanut butter because of progressing arthritis. Crazy thing is that it is not even 30 days since I purchased it but I can't return the item. So I am stuck with 2 different types of the same unuseable mixer, one plastic and one metal. Unless you plan to use this in the smaller almond butter or similar type jar, or a small mouth mason jar, don't waste your money.

Very cool and easy to use! It made a hard job easier and less messy!
