These are life savers! Between grandchildren and grandparents we are no longer getting scratched up by our 5 month old golden retriever puppy! They are easy to put on her and they work well!

I bought these after being sent a video about Dr. Buzby's toenail grips. I liked the idea but for the price, the reviews on the Dr. Buzby product was not great. I decided to try these, figuring for $10, it was worth a shot. My dog has always slipped on hard floors, and last year, we moved from a mostly carpeted house, to one with only wood floors. His slipping has gotten way worse, especially as he's aged. I was a little skeptical about this product actually working, but it is a night and day difference! My dog can walk through the house without losing his footing! He's running and playing more than he used to, and I've seen a major difference in his confidence since I put them on. The package came with red, purple, green glitter, teal, and yellow nail caps. The colors don't matter so much to me, as long as he's not slipping anymore! But people have loved his teal nails! I will say, my dog is great for having his nails trimmed and allowing me to touch his feet, so putting them on wasn't much of an issue. If your dog struggles with nail trims, they likely will not do well with these nail caps. I cleaned his paws and claws very well, using a paw cleaning foam that has a rubber brush attachment to scrub them, and then clipped his nails. Then I used hair clippers to trim the fur on the bottom of his paw pads and around the claws. I carefully followed that up with scissors and trimmed any excess hair around his claws, to keep it from getting caught in the nail glue. I then measured each claw with the nail caps and trimmed them as needed. A couple of his claws were a bit too big for the caps (XXL), so I cut a small slit in the top, which gave them the extra space needed to slip them onto his claw securely. After everything was trimmed, I went one by one and put a tiny bit of nail glue in the cap, being sure to use the tip to rub it along the inside walls of the nail cap. Be very careful not to put too much, I found about three drops to be sufficient. I used a damp paper towel in between his toes to protect his fur and skin from the nail glue, and then slipped them on each nail and held them securely for 5 second, before wiping the area with a wet paper towel to get any excess glue off. It has been a few days and we've only lost two, but the ones that came off were the first two I put on, and I suspect I was a little too conservative with the glue. The rest are staying on very well, and don't seem to bother my dog at all. I am very happy with this product, thank you for giving my dog his confidence back!

The good - The nail tips have stayed put remarkably well with the included glue. The product itself seems to be of a good thickness and high quality. They have even survived a bath. The bad - We wish we could’ve picked our own colors. We didn’t notice that the colors were going to be random and that we wouldn’t be getting all of the colors in the picture. We had really hoped for pink. - Sadly, while these worked great for about three or four days, our dog eventually did start chewing off the tips, which is the most important part. It isn’t the product's fault that our dog decided to chew them, but it did make them somewhat useless. - We also wish we would have picked the next size up. The caps were not deep enough to accommodate our dogs full nails. After we recovered from the disappointment of not getting the color we hoped for, the first few days before our dog chewed them, they did an amazing job of protecting the floor and our bodies from scratches.

I have a 50lb dog who has long nails--his quicks grow just as fast as his nails and don't recede, even after vet intervention. We've used nail caps to make our slippery floors easier for him. These are terrible. First, the sizing is off and super inconsistent. It almost seems like there are 2 or 3 different sizes mixed in. Second, for larger dogs with larger nails, there is no way to make these fit--the tips are WAY too narrow, so you'll end up with pockets of air at the end of these that add length to your dogs nails. My dog is only 50 lbs, and the XXL are meant to fit 40-70lb dogs; I can't imagine trying to get these on a larger dog unless they have more petite nails. Last, these are cheap and don't last at all. For the one or two nails I can actually get these to fit on, they wear out in a max of 3 days. Our backyard is grass with a concrete patio; it's not like he's running miles on concrete daily. Also, we definitely didn't receive all the colors shown. I never bothered counting to see if there are actually 100 or not. Maybe for small dogs these are okay and fit, but for larger dogs I recommend not wasting your money.

these are great for older dogs (or any dog I suppose) to keep traction on smooth flooring. I bought them for my 14 year old dog after we changed our flooring to LVP and I saw she was slipping around especially if she tried to change direction quickly or jump down off the bed or sofa. these caps work brilliantly! we had a tough time getting them on because she did not like us messing with her toes that much but just a helpful tip, try one without glue and see how it fits first....we found that these were a little too long and it was a simple task to just take scissors and cut them shorter before applying, you really only need them top be on the tip of the nail. if they are too long they will look weird and be loose on the tip which would probably be uncomfortable for the dog. so we found that cutting them shorter worked very well. she has had them on for over a month now. I am interested to see how long they stay on! I will need to trim her nails soon but with these things stuck on there with super glue I am not sure how I will do that. but yeah the product does work really well. also quiets the clicking noise from them walking on hard floors a bit which was a nice added bonus.

Check the size of your dogs nail before you buy!

With a little dog patience, and a helper, they are easy to use. Really made a difference in the dog scratches to my sensitive skin. However, they did NOT make a difference in the dogs grip on smooth surfaces. In fact, the dog (12lbs) seemed to slip even more. That's not what we got them for so no biggie for us. After putting them on the dog wasn't bothered by them at all. A bit of work to get off for later trimming but not terrible.

These are very well priced. We ordered and they arrived quickly and as expected. We will be buying it again. 1 week of use so far and no problems experienced. All dogs have different size nails. We bought the largest size XXL. They needed a little (1-2mm) trimmed off to get a snug fit. After grinding the nail down and doing a test fit we applied the glue. The strong bond and neither of our dogs seem to be bothered by them. Make sure you test fit them and push them snug. If you leave a gap you could get cracked cover or push the nail past the end. You want to make sure you use a grinder and get the nail short and prepared for your new caps! I only do the front paws. 1) keep the nail protected from debris under the snow 2) keep your floors and clothing safe from large and heavy dog​ nails! One emergency vet visit per year is 4x the price than buying one pack of these every 1-2months for 2dogs. Do the math buy these and save money!

EDITED ORIGINAL REVIEW (picture with red nail caps): They’ve been really easy to install... but were already worn our after one day. All the tips of the caps were pierced, as shown on picture. Yes, we went for a walk, but it was on a gravel path. Very disappointed with durability, won’t buy them anymore. My dog is a not-so-active 75 pounds labernese. I ordered the xxl, they fitted really well. Would have been happy if they did not break that fast. Now I’m trying to remove them despite a very strong glue. UPDATE (picture with blue nail caps): customer care have reached me after this review. They’ve been really helpful, suggesting to trim the nails shorter, shorten the nail caps by cutting them, giving advice on how to remove leftover caps. They also sent me new caps for free to try again. So did I, applying all of the advices. Although I have the larger ones (XXL) for my 75 pounds labernese, the fact that they were shorter (since i cut them so they’re not longer than nails) made it obvious that they’re simply too small. I had a hard time putting them on nails and they split apart as I tried to fit them. So they were clearly not pushed far enough on the first try. I would probably need a larger size, which doesn’t exist! They also refunded me. I would purchase from them again and probably try these caps with a smaller dog, but they just wont fit for my big boy.

I don’t often write reviews but am so happy with these that I’m taking the time to do it! My senior dog has been pacing for hours at a time every day for the past year or so and the clicking sound of his nails on the hardwood has been driving us absolutely insane. He’s been waking us up at all hours of the night. I ordered the XL for my 40lb schnauzer mix and I tried them on without the glue and they fit perfectly so I haven’t used the glue yet. I put them on Wednesday and it’s now Saturday evening and they haven’t come off. He’s been out for walks every day (even in the rain) and out in the yard many times. I read some of the reviews about them falling off so I was worried I’d be disappointed, but they have really been life changing for us and have significantly reduced stress in our home!
