This is my second purchase of the stair cover. There is definitely a talent to putting it on the stairs, but once you get the hang of it, it does a good job and stays put under high traffic. I have had it 6 months with no tears. Vaccuum the stairs first, then unroll and press on all sides of the stair after centering. Wash in washer gentle cycle once a month or so, and hang dry or tumble low briefly. I love this.

Ok this stuff is AWSOME! I worried when some reviews said it was thin and messy looking I found neither comment to be true. It’s not carpet it’s a carpet “cover”. Take a little time and gently tuck the cover into each tread and it’s smooth as can be. Doesn’t move and check the picture looks pretty smooth to me. Love this stuff.I need to update this review. I thought this product was amazing until today, when I tossed it into a cold washer and cool dryer, to find it is now two feet short of covering my stairs. None of the reveiws I read said this thing shrunk, if I had known I would have cut it longer to allow for shrinkage. Thought this was going to be great for my dogs on the stairs, and turns out I pretty much just tossed $100 out the window. Be Warned....It Shrinks!

The fabric is soft and thin. It will not stay in place, loosens, bunches up, and becomes a trip hazard. This on a medium to high pile carpet. Each time it is stepped on, it pulls up and wrinkles. Most concerning area is at the top and bottom of the stairs where it becomes easy to catch while approaching the stairs. The picture attached is after one days use.

I like that I can wash it, but it is NOT laminate at all. It's like thin terry cloth with a thin foam backing. It does catch all the dirt from my dogs but it moves out of place A LOT.

This is a very useful product that stays in place...a friend told me about it as she saw it in an open house to protect the carpet. It sure beats the old plastic runners that are hard to walk on...very easy to roll up and store too! Highly recommend!

This runner is disappointing. I put it on our stairs one day and it was a rumpled mess by the next.A few years ago, I purchased a similar runner from carpetsaver.com. Much better product, stays in place better and sticks to carpet on stairs better. i intend to launder the Laminet product and will donate it. I just ordered another runner from carpetsaver.com so I will have 2 runners to alternate as laundering is needed.I don’t recommend this Laminet product.
