Best ink I’ve tried
I wouldn’t say I’m a “connoisseur” just yet, but I’ve been collecting fountain pens and writing routinely with them for a few years now. My first two were both Faber Castells, and I thought those were high end pens. I had no idea how crazy priced they can be!I’ve had my eye on a Graf von Faber Classic for a while now and finally got one, so in my excitement I decided I would only use GvFC ink in my new pen. Ive bought 4 bottles, Moss green, deep sea green, Black, and stone grey. I’ve always liked using green inks in journal entries, strictly black for correspondence of any kind, but I’ve never found a green I really liked without mixing it with black for a kind of dark forest green, very subtle green look. I think it’s kinda girly to write in bright colors, so I liked being able to use my favorite color in a subtle way that really only I notice and appreciate. My journals are for me anyway - except that one ex girlfriend who didn’t understand that concept, much to my chagrin.I actually really loved all the colors of these inks. I used the moss green without any added black for a while and even though I usually prefer subtle coloration, the color was so pleasing to the eye I really enjoyed using it on its own.I’ve since gotten my carbon black and an ink pot where I mix 3-4 eye droppers of green with 2-3 droppers full of black which comes out to that subtle dark green I’ve always preferred.Beyond the colors being outstanding, I don’t know if it’s the upgrade in pen quality, or the ink, but I do feel both have played a part - My pen now writes immediately without any hassle; ink flows freely upon the first stroke upon the paper. I’ll have to fill my other pens with the GvFC ink to test it, but I can see a difference in the viscosity of the inks which doesn’t at all sacrifice boldness of color. A viscosity that indicates to me that it likely is the quality of the ink that’s made putting pen to paper after a few days off no hassle whatsoever. I’ve pretty much always had to perform at least a few test strokes before feeling confident it was ready to go.I love their pens. Love the classic GvFC, it’s truly night and day to write with and my others are by no means low quality. Love the ink, I actually liked the presentation and boxing enough to save them, for a while at least. The bottles are actually quite pretty and look awesome on my desk. I’d recommend this ink over any I’ve tried in the few years I’ve tried several dozens including some more expensive brands.

I can say that I enjoy it. It flows well out of my pen ...
I read about this ink in a blog and wanted to try it. Being new to fountain pens, I had no idea what to expect, and the other reviews here were very helpful. After using this ink for several weeks, I can say that I enjoy it. It flows well out of my pen and is "shaded" so that some strokes are lighter than others - very nice effect. The grey is dark enough to be seen and photocopied. The ink dries fairly quickly, but I'm still careful. I look forward to trying other Faber Castell brands. The bottle itself is heavy and quite attractive.

Carbon Black
I was looking for something blacker than Pilot black ink, and this did it. Writes the same as the pilot ink, wet, but is noticeably blacker. So far, this is the blackest ink I have seen yet.

Great Ink
This is my favorite black ink. It is neither too wet nor too dry. It runs through all of my pens well.

My favorite ink!
Wonderful, my favorite everyday ink 😊 Wonderful shading, it's dark but not as dark as black and flows wonderfully from a dark gray to lighter as you write.

As good as it gets
Good ink

Very nice colour with variation
This ink is a very dark grey that has a lot of "spread" (where it's darker in some strokes than in others.) It can be hard to distinguish from black on some papers, but on others it's a lovely, matte grey colour.

Elegant, sophisticated colour, but a very dry ink.
This is an elegant ink with a colour between Dim gray and Davy's gray and can be reminiscent of the stroke of a pencil, in some cases. The main problem I had with this ink was that it was much drier than other inks I use, including Graf von Faber-Castell's own Carbon Black and, say, Moss Green. So be advised, you need a very wet pen (or one with a very broad nib) to appreciate its qualities. This is not an ink for your EF, F or even M fountain pen unless you're really keen on dry inks.
