Im sorry that i cant get a replacement or a refund on this item it eas ordered on the 7th of may this is the second time it has been used and it went on fire it's a disgrace

Works like a professional one heats up quick.

Product worked great. Have installed carpets for years, and have seamed several carpets seams already with this Carpet Seam Iron without any problems. Heat is adjustable. Iron is easy to use and paid for itself on the first usage.

I've never done carpet before but figured I could save a few bucks. This Iron is really nice and a steal for the price. I was looking into renting one but I could buy this one for nearly the same price. It worked nicely too and my seams came out nicely considering they were my first attempts at carpet seaming.

Things I notice/mention or like/dislike mightn't be pertinent but I thought I'd write a review none the less to let others get an idea before purchasing... also I only used this for one (small room) job that only lasted 2 days so I don't have any durablilty comments to add, sorry Product review: - worked great - heated up the glue strips quickly (gets real hot!... I was afraid of it burning stuff so I rested the entire setup in a large terracotta plant saucer) - glided effortlessly (when I figured the correct speed to move/wait) - deep grooves on the underside help you stay straight (so less effort needed to be paid to pushing it along and more on making your joints as tight as possible) - handle was tall enough that neither the sharp carpet edges nor the molten glue ever touched my hands... and stayed cool and comfortable to use One slight grievance I had was the iron ends up with a lot of glue on its underside so be aware when lifting off (hot glue may drip if you're not paying attention) Order review When I got this, the cooling/resting plate was damaged. I was really annoyed and got onto customer service immediately. Amazon listened to my complaint, asked if I could send some pictures for their records, which I did. They straight up just refunded my entire purchase, I didn't even have to return it...very nice! Watch as many "how to" videos online as you could and you might also want to buy liquid nails to seal carpet edges (to preserve the joint's nap). Buy with confidence... Product = Well up to the task, AMAZON = Above and beyond!
