One of the better compilations
The best is obviously the Vagabonds Kings Warrior Angels box set, but this is a great retrospect into what was the great rock band Thin Lizzy. It also covers a few tracks from Phil Lynott's solo work. Dear Miss Lonely Hearts, King's Call, and the first 7" remix of Yellow Pearl. You know, the Top Of The Pops theme. Just a little thing to point out. On amazon, it lists Hollywood as being live from 1983. It's in fact from 1981. November 27 to be exact. It can also be found in a special edition of Thunder and Lightning, which features a bonus 12" live LP. I must say, the added crowd noise at the beginning sounds horrible. I have the FM broadcast of that show, and they go from Renegade straight into Hollywood. It just sounds a tad unnatural, but you get over it once it really gets going. Another side note, it's the same performance that is on the Life live album before being overdubbed. Are You Ready from this compilation though comes from the Life live album. Black Rose is not live as mentioned in the amazon tracklist. Emerald is though although amazon doesn't list it as being live. It's taken from Live and Dangerous, as is Rosalie / Cowgirl's Song. Just get it. It's a great compilation even though it leaves off some stuff, as all compilations do. Opium Trail or The Pressure Will Blow anyone? Correct tracklist below.1. The Boys Are Back In Town2. Jailbreak3. Don't Believe A Word4. Dancing In The Moonlight (It's Caught Me In It's Spotlight)5. Rosalie/Cowgirl's Song (Live 1976/Hammersmith Odeon, London, Live and Dangerous)6. Waiting For An Alibi7. Do Anything You Want To8. Sarah (Version 3)9. Chinatown10. Killer On The Loose11. Everything you could possibly want from the great Irish rockers in a two-disc retrospective
The set opens and closes with two versions of the seminal The Boys Are Back in Town -- the classic studio smash hit and a stunning live rave-up version. Okay, I'm already in. In between, all the Thin Lizzy you could possibly want, need, cherish. Hits, misses, live-in-concert ravers, album deep cuts. Also includes a number of Phil Lynott outside-the-band solo efforts, including my own personal favorite among songs about Elvis Presley, King's Call. An acquired taste? Perhaps. But once you've climbed aboard the Thin Lizzy train, well, there's just no turning back. Four blazing stars and definitely recommended to classic rock fans of every stripe.

Call Me a Late Bloomer!
I guess you can call me a late bloomer because it was only recently I started listening to Thin Lizzy. Although I have heard "The Boys Are Back In Town" and Metallica's cover version of "Whiskey In the Jar" on several occasions, I haven't given myself an opportunity to listen to more of their music until I bought this two-disc compilation. Upon listening, I started to realize what all the fuss was about because these guys have released some of best tunes of the classic rock era. I also wondered why I didn't start listening to them sooner. Better late than never, right? Although this Greatest Hits album only scratches the surface in my opinion, it's got 36 of their best songs ever compiled onto two discs. I became a fan for life after buying this. Maybe you will, too.

The Only Thin Lizzy Greatest Hits Choice
How in the world did I miss the title for so many years, and how / why in the world is it not more commonly released in the US ? Seriously this is all the Thin Lizzy you need and can take packaged in a wonderful Two CD comp. All the classic eras, hits, b-sides, and lastly Phil Lynott's latter days of his career are here as well as his teaming up with Gary Moore for a couple of gems as well. Great CD, Great price buy it now !

Excellent classic rock music.
The music industry does not care about Rock&Roll anymore. The glory days of music are long gone but thankfully this compilation of hits from Thin Lizzy was made. What great straight up rock and roll this is. Highly recommend to any fan of classic rock in general. Radio stations only played like 2 or 3 songs from Thin Lizzy from what I can remember. I had no idea how many other amazing songs they produced.

Great compilation of Thin Lizzy's best songs
This 2 CD album contains just about every song the average Thin Lizzy fan would want. The songs are remastered so they sound better than some other Thin Lizzy compilations that I've heard. That was part of the reason I bought it. I already had some songs on it, but I wanted the better sound quality. Buy it and you won't be dissapointed.
