Fluval Hagen HG Fluval 306 Motor Head Maintenance Kit,white

It turns out the 406 rebuild kit is the same except the fins on the pump vanes are 1/8" longer and fit into the 306 pump area easily. The benefit of using the 406 kit is you will get a slightly high flow rate if that's something you might want.

My very old 306 now running as it did from out of the box.... good as new and quiet.

It's pricey. Last one held for 5 years 9 months. Hope this one lasts that long.

SELLERS, STOP shipping these kits in a bubble wrap envelope!The IMPELLER FINS WILL BREAK when you do this. These kits are not cheap.This is the case with my order from Kens Fish. The new impeller arrived with a broken fin...smh.The part that I needed most was the impeller cover as the old one had worn down which caused the ceramic shaft to bust through the cover. I transfered the old impeller fins to the new impeller and my filter was back up and running.That is all.

for some reason the shaft seemed alittle to long and bound the impeller against the cap closure preventing the impeller to spin freely. I sanded and trimed the cover cap to relieve the pressure and the impeller has spun freely without noise for the past 3-weeks. The output now has visible ripples which were not there before, the old impeller was in there at least 4-5 years, I can really see a difference in the water clarity as well as the output force

The maintenance kit fit perfectly with the filter however I think the motor was broken because the maintenance kit didn't fix my particular problem. I replaced the entire The filter was around 4 yrs. old. Now I have an extra maintenance kit on hand. My advice is to have a maintenance kit and an extra ceramic rod on hand because the rod breaks so easy. That's been my only complaint about the Fluval product. I didn't clean mine as much as I should have because of an illness. I think that's why the entire pump needed replacing.

bought this because like an idiot, i tossed the box that had the door, o-ring and hoses out, so i cant compare them to the original but its a genuine fluval part so i cant imagine it is any different, and the price was great when i ordered. my fluval 306 has been running for about a month now with no issues.

After my first shipment arrived with broken fins due to shipping without adequate protection, they offered a return and replaced no problem. My pump works like new again.
