American Outlaws: The Life and Legacy of Baby Face Nelson Paperback – November 2, 2013

An interesting book about Baby Face Nelson and other outlaws that he worked with during his crime sprees. He started out at a young age and eventually became Public Enemy #1.

Nothing not to like, inexpensive book filled with relaative information

S !kelleher wrote everything I.intended to. According to legend is not what a professional ethical writer used for reference. At the end of one chapter Dillinger is killed them in the first paragraph of the next one he is back??? I think they made up half and used Google and Wikipedia for the rest. This is a top off.

A nice supplement to other Nelson literature I Have read.

This was not a book ,, a pamphlet. WHAT A JOKE!!

This "book" is not a book! In my opinion it's a pamphlet. Approx 25 pages. If you are like me and love reading the exploits of Baby Face, Dillinger etc. this will give you no more info than you probably already know. I do not endorse this pamphlet, and have asked to return.

I don't like to write negative reviews because whether someone likes a book is totally arbitrary. But this pamphlet is guilty of the crime of no research at all. It's not comprehensive in any way. The writer or writers who wrote it merely recap the stories about Baby Face Nelson without checking them out. The stories say, 'legend has it-'. I don't want to know how legend has it, I want the truth or as close to the truth as good research will find. For a well written gangster book try Go Down Together which is about Bonnie and Clyde or the novel by McMurtry and Osanna about Pretty Boy Floyd. Even though it's a work of fiction it's well researched.

The title, when I ordered this made me think I was in for a really good read.I was very disappointed when item arrived. With only paragraphs about the life of Baby Face Nelson,to me,this should've been listed as a booklet. My fault too, as I should've checked the length of it. Felt let down with this.

this gives you the story of the man known as baby face nelson , real name, lester gillis. its a good cover of his life
