i absolutely love this balm. it only leaves a light waxy feeling on your hands after you wash them. had others that seemed like i couldn't wash the balm off my hands. so this one is acceptable. so far all balms i've tried leave a little waxiness. this balm rubs to a really light oil. doesn't leave your beard oily, or weighted down. all in all a great balm.the smells are a little different story. they are not bad smells, but i have to agree they do remind me of bathroom air fresheners. again not bad smells at all, but i think they need to reformat it. really sure they would be far more popular if they did. the smells are not overly strong, they seem to last a good couple hours. the "bathroom" smell seems to fade and you don't get to caught up in it. i use these and several other balms in rotation, and i never feel i should avoid this brand.the four smells for me in order of favorite.1) Bay rum: this one you will also be with. it is a smell you may have smelled from the air spritzers in bathrooms. it has kinda a cinnamon and bubblegum smell. i call it spicy bubblegum. i like this one the most.2) Clary sage: this one kinda reminds me of camping candles. not the citronella ones, but the other kind. light pine like smell, almost berry, but not sweet, kinda sharp. honestly really like it, it is a close second.3) Sandal wood: light woody smell. not saying sweet, but in the bright notes.4) Cedar and pine: has kind of a sweet musky smell to it. don't want to say it, but it does smell like a new urinal cake. it isn't obnoxious. and again i like these balms. you can tell what i mean. it is a good smell, but just a smell that is common with something you may be familiar with. least favorite, but still use it here and there.it is really hard to write this. i love the product, but again i really think the company needs to work with someone to get their scents improved. they got the product, but i feel they skimped on the smells.i would have given them a 4, but i can't fault them to much just because the smell reminds me of something else. and honestly the smell grows on you.

In an original review I was skeptical about the softness. That was a premature review that was unnecessarily critical. Now that I have experimented with how much I apply and by what method, I have found that is this a wonderful product at a great cost.I enjoy the scents in the variety pack- it’s fun to switch up what I wear on a whim. Easy to apply consistency: scooping with your fingertips or finger nail and mixing in your palm to rub along your beard. A boar hair brush is perfect to then spread the balm evenly while taking your your beard into its look for the day.This balm will help your beard feel comfortably soft. It is light weight and gives your beard a well-groomed, natural look. It is easily rises off your fingers after application.If you are used to Honest Amish, this will be a similar product, worthy of considering if you want to try something new.

This is our 2nd time ordering this brand. My husband loves the quality and you cant beat the price point! The scents are not too strong, but have just enough of a pleasant smell to notice.Keeps the beard hairs laying flat most of the day!

I’ve been impressed with the Viking Revolution brand beard products. I bought their sandalwood beard wash and conditioner and really liked it, so I figured I’d try their beard balm. First, the product itself works well. I use it in conjunction with beard oil and it has cured my beard-dandruff within a matter of days. While shopping for a beard balm, I was not really sure what to expect as far as scent. This 4 pack deal is a nice way to sample the various scents that they offer. I’ll attempt to describe the fragrances in this review despite the fact that is kind of difficult to verbalize a smell.Ceader and pine- the ceader in this balm is not very noticeable at all. The pine, however, is most prevalent. As much as I hesitate to draw this comparisonson, it is remenisent of pine-sol... but not in a bad way. The scent is not overbearing and in my opinion smells quite pleasant.Sandalwood- while all of the scents are mild, this is the least fragrant of the pack in my opinion. If you’re familiar with the scent of sandalwood, you should know what to expect, just know that it’s very very subtle. Again, a nice smelling product.Clary sage- this is the most pungent scent included in the package. When I say pungent, I mean relative to the other scents, it is not an overbearing scent. One might be able to guess what this one smells like, but other than describing it as “sage” I would say that this smells citrusy, like lemon and pine.Bay Rum- This is my favorite smelling balm of the pack. I am always a bit hesitant to slather something that supposedly smells like liquor on myself, but was quite pleaseantly surprised. I think the best way to describe this one is as sweet smelling spices. Think cinnamon and/or clove aromas. I enjoyed this one so much that I bought the 2 oz tin of balm and a bottle of the bay rum beard oil to go with it.I would absolutely recommend this product to a friend. It performs well, and also smells great.

These smell good and make the beard feel "luxurious" when used daily, but they definitely do NOT provide enough hold to tame a wold beard.

These smell great and work well. For my husband tho. He loves it, using it everyday 👍👍👍
