Fantastic
My preschooler and toddler are super into birds lately and love this book! The sound effects are hard to push (I have to push really hard) but otherwise is great!

Lindas ilustraciones

Very educational
My 2 year old daughter is obsessed with this book and loved to listen to the bird sounds! I love that you can change the batteries if they die so we can use this for ever. The descriptions are good but long so weโll get better use when sheโs older.

Lovely, but with some flaws
This is a beautiful book and I love the concept. Two cons: the sound buttons are difficult to push such that my child canโt do it, and also, the noises of each of the creatures is played in rapid succession - two seconds at most for each - making it very challenging to distinguish them from each other.

Wonderful
Got it for a gift. My grandson and his mommy lived it. That's what a great book should do.Please and inspire all that see and in this case hear it through sounds .

Colorful and fun book for all ages!
Awesome book with great art! Only thing is itโs kinda hard to press the sound buttons through all the pages. A non-issue for adults and bigger kids, but when your independent toddler wants to do it themselves, it can be an inconvenience.

Gotta love birds!
This is a lovely book. The illustrations are beautiful and the sounds clear and accurate. The way the types of birds are displayed makes learning about them easy and fun.I recommend this book for any children as an introduction or a study of birds.

Great
Great - 5 stars if the sounds buttons were specifically tied to the birds. But really nice all the same. I will be buying the next one in the series.

The book arrived and didn't work.
I checked the batteries, and even replaced the batteries and it still didn't work.

Unlike Any Other
Unique. Clever. Loved it. Wanted to keep it instead of gifting it.

Lovely, wish every bird had its own sound
We loved this book and my preschooler isabsolutely thrilled by it. It is gorgeousIt is nice that it explores all habitat and relevant birds, I wish it would be more didactic in explaining which bird is which in the sound buttons or giving each bird a sound.

Beautiful book, but maybe too ambitious?
This is a beautifully produced book with a lovely embossed cover and appealing, colourful, full page illustrations which are somewhat stylised yet still offer a clear representation of the real birds. It is divided up into habitats: birds of the rainforest, bush, wetlands, desert, mountains, city, prairie, ocean, woods and ice each get their own two-page spread. For each habitat, up to seven birds are shown, each numbered with a brief description. There is also a button to press which will play each bird's song in turn. Unfortunately the birdsong recordings run into each other so it's not always terribly clear where one bird's song ends and the next begins. Also, the birds are not laid out on the pages numerically so if you are listening to the songs whilst trying to work out which birds they correspond to, you have to search for the next number as you listen and try to differentiate between calls. It would be so much better to have a separate button for each bird's song, though I realise this would be prohibitively expensive to produce. Having worked with children for many years, I feel there are two groups this book might appeal to. The first would be very young children who love birds but are not interested or ready to actually learn specific facts about them (or indeed just enjoy the nice colours and sounds), and those children who are genuinely very keen to learn about their chosen subject. I feel like this book, with its list of common orders of birds and specific habitats, is aiming for the latter group - and yet I feel a large percentage of that group would be frustrated by how the book actually functions, and how difficult it is to match each bird with its call. Would be lovely to see a more targeted version - an ideal execution of this idea would be one book this size for each of the habitats mentioned, where every bird gets its own page rather than trying to squeeze some 60+ birds into a mere 20 pages.
