I am breaking away from "smart devices" and parting with my beloved Samsung watch 4 has had a few unexpected caveats. my use case is a little strange. I work in a hospital lab, so my job frequently requires me to juggle multiple 5-45 minute long patient tests at a time. My smartwatch had no problem stacking multiple independent timers on top of one another simultaneously, and that habit became part of my smartwatch workflow over the last decade. When I started looking for a "dumb" watch, I didn't expect this multi-timer feature to be so niche, so ended up taking a few gambles on various watches, ultimately landing on this Casio AE-1300WH. I have settled on this watch and I've been largely enjoying my time with it too, despite its minor flaws. Build quality is quite nice despite being mostly plastic. It doesn't feel cheap, but I do wish that the body itself was aluminum and that the crystal was tempered glass or sapphire instead of plastic. It's good enough as is. First off, if you're planning on being a power user with this watch, just memorize the instructions that it comes with and/or download the manual from online. This watch packs quite a lot of features into a "dumb" watch package. Despite the wide feature set, the controls are overall pretty intuitive once you get used to using them all. To my surprise, this watch can indeed run multiple timers simultaneously, but more in a roundabout way than a properly intentional one. The preset timer function is often my go-to, just because it's the fastest timer to access of the lot. The biggest point of criticism I have for it is that it doesn't have a 5-minute or 60 or 90 minute preset timers. It only has 10, 12, 15, and 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45 min preset timers. I personally find this to be an enormous oversight, but I'm sure there's some technical limitation on the backend that I'm not aware of. you can, howerver, set the stopwatch to alarm at any 1-minute interval up to 60 minutes though. You can also play with the interval timer function, but this is the least convenient option, though it does have its perks and it comes in handy on its own more often than you might expect. The interval timer lets you set any timer between 0 and 59 minutes, in down to 5-second increments, if desired. you can have up to 9 custom timers play sequentially, with a short beep in between interval timers and a long beep at the completion of tbe interval timer rotation/sequence. Often, I either set the stopwatch to alarm at 5min or just use interval timer #1 set to 5 minutes for my quick-access 5-min timer. There is no way to explicitly specify a 60-minute + timer intuitively, but you can force it in a few different ways The first way to force a 60 minute timer is via the stopwatch's "game time" function, which lets you program an alarm go off up to 60 minutes (in 1-minute intervals) after starting the stopwatch. You can also creatively use the interval timer function to create long timers. Because each interval can be set to 59min 55sec max, you can set 9 of them in a row to approximate a 9 hour timer, with a short beep every 59min and 55sec and a long beep at the end of all 9 sequential timers, which totals about 45 seconds shy of a full 9-hours. you can program pretty much any time up to that maximum if you're creative though. 2-45 min interval timers for 90min, for example. It would have been nice to be able to set each interval up to 99 min 99 seconds to really maximize the timer potential here. but I'm probably not the "typical user" of this watch. The part that matters to me the most though is that the stopwatch, preset timer, and interval timers can all run independently and simultaneously, which has been the reason i am keeping the watch. It does the weird thing i need, even if it's a little bit of an unconventional use case. The watch does have an alarm function, but with my use case needing multiple "random access timers", setting an alarm every time is really inconvenient. It is nice of you want a daily routine alarm though. 4 stars is because the watch is great overall and I can functionally bend it to my will, so it's god enough and better than I expected. I wish there was a 5 minute and up to 90-minute preset timer and I wish each interval timer could be set up to 99min 99sec. Perfect would be if the watch dod all that and also had a full metal body and a glass crystal.

Excellent & solid watch with a good slew of functions. Photos don’t do the watch justice. Display is a breeze to read. Button-activated backlight is plenty bright. I really like the hourly chime, and I appreciate the circular visual countdown cues for workouts and breathing exercises. Insane value. Definitely one of my favorite Casio squares!

Nice watch. I bought it for the preset timers because I use timers for work every day. The watch is kinda your typical plastic watch with cheap band. I ordered a new band because I prefer cloth. I'd buy it again. No complaints. Doesn't seem rugged but time will tell because I bang my watches into doorframes like it's some kind of contest or something.

Cuando compré este también ordené un Casio 1200WH (Royale negro) un poco por no dejar porque este estaba de buen precio. Cuando lo recibí y empecé a usarlo me gustó incluso más que el Royale. Es un reloj de un uso relativamente específico porque está diseñado para árbitros de partidos deportivos. Destacan sus funciones de cronógrafo y de timer de cuenta regresiva. En el cronógrafo va llevando dos cuentas: una que desde que se inicia nunca para y otra para las pausas (es perfecto para medir el tiempo en partidos de futbol americano). En el temporizador es donde destaca aún más: tiene varios temporizadores pre-ajustados de 10', 12', 15', 20', 25', 30' 35', 40' y 45'. Adicionalmente, tiene una función de hasta 9 intervalos con temporizadores independientes que son totalmente programables. Tiene solamente una alarma y señal horaria (chime) además de horario mundial. Los dígitos son muy legibles. Los tres diales redondos arriba son más decorativos que otra cosa pero lucen bien y es divertido verlos. Es un reloj de buen tamaño, más grande que un clásico Casio F91W pero mucho menor que un G-Shock (en la foto se puede notar la escala del reloj). Creo que es un buen tamaño que se adapta bien a todo tipo de muñecas porque en las delgadas no se ve monstruoso y en las muy grandes no parece tamaño pulguita. Tiene batería de 10 años lo cual siempre es un plus para no andar con el problema de cambiar la pila a cada rato. Casio siempre es garantía de calidad. Los acabados no decepcionan. Por cierto, los botones (pulsadores) son de buen tamaño y fáciles de operar. La resistencia al agua es de 10bar, lo que permite meterse a nadar sin mayor problema. En los contras yo veo tres, y cada quien debe decidir en qué medida le afectan: primero, la carátula es de acrílico, lo que hace que sea fácil de rayar (por otro lado también es fácil de pulir); segundo, la iluminación es de dos LEDs ámbar menos eficientes que los sistemas electro-luminiscentes pero cumpke su función; tercero, la hebilla de la correa es de plástico y no de metal. En cuanto al precio, es un poco más caro que los modelos más básicos de Casio, pero creo que la relación costo/beneficio es definitivamente muy buena. A mí me sirve mucho la función de los temporizadores para cocinar. Finalmente, en lo estético es un reloj que a mí me gusta mucho; el color gris oscuro lo hace interesante. Es súper ligero y uno se olvida de traerlo. Personalmente me gustó mucho y lo uso con más frecuencia que el Casio Royale. En definitiva estoy muy contento con la compra.

Great watch for the price. I love the style of it. The buttons are responsive and easy to press, but don’t feel cheap. The light is yellow, and while not indiglo, it does light up the whole display backlight-style, and not with a useless little sidelight. Making it Easy to read at night, and the numbers don’t get washed out. It does a bunch of extra timing features, plus all the regular stuff. I was worried about size, but I have thin to average size wrists and it fits perfect... not too small, and not huge (like hanging over the edges of my wrist like I’m wearing a wall clock to tell time). It’s not a con for me, but be aware that the actual display area of time is smaller that a full face watch, as some of that real-estate is taken up by the circle displays above. These circles count down time, and I enjoy them, for whatever reason. The watch band is soft and comfortable. I’ve had ironmans with Velcro for years, and while good, they fray my shirt and coat sleeves over time, so the band is a welcome change. The only possible downsides I can think of is I don’t know about the band’s longevity... also, the watch beeps whenever you switch modes, which I’d prefer it didn’t. Certainly not dealbreakers for me. This is great quality for the cost. I would buy it again without hesitation.

It's a decent watch at reasonable price. Bought this to be used during sports activities. It has all the functionalities one would need during the activity such as stop watch, timer etc. Looks well made with promising long last battery life.
