Great value, easy to install, Had it installed in about 1 & a half hours. We really enjoy the hand rail of the steps, we have used it several times since we installed it in our 30 foot fifth wheel Artic Fox.Charlie

This is the best improvement we ever made for our travel trailer. I suffer with arthritis in my hips and knees and with the steadiness and wide step width I can get in and out of the trailer with ease and confidence. We added a side rail to make it even more stable for me and our grandchildren. It also almost eliminates bouncing around everytime someone goes in or out.

I want to give this a 7 star, but I can't. I like bottem legs set back, top step deeper, sturdy. Don't like, figuring out which set width to try. If I buy to big they won't fit, if I buy to small they won't fit. Well I bought to small. Flip up stop should be adjustable for exact width, one latch is enough I think. My friend liked the same but wider step, he's having issues with clearances at doors bottems. Better description everyware would help. Original folding Steps have had most rivits replaced, shims installed to level up, moved out from under trailer floor so it's easier to catch top step with full foot rather than slide off and fall, again

Ordered this item, first thing is, it came in damaged. 2nd thing is my door frame was exactly 28" so I order 28" stairs, that was wrong. So I sent it back and ordered a 30". I opened the package and the bracket that clips into the door was really badly damaged. I spent 2 hrs bending and beating with a hammer to straighten the bracket so it would clip into the door way. Also I am missing the bracket that goes underneath to sandwich the two brackets together if you do not have wood floors. I would never order this product again or want anybody else to order this product. There quality control is horrible if they even have ac. I usually dont do reviews but do not want anyone to be stuck with this after paying over 400.00 dollars.

We chose the Solid Step over competing models because of the extra wide step on the top step. The stairs are fairly easy to install but I was paranoid to install them because I couldn’t figure out how my travel trailer floor was constructed. This is important to know as my kit had three different screw and bolt sets. I finally decided to use the bolts and the backer plate after it looked like my floor was made of Luan laminated to foam. If you have a plywood or chipboard floor you could use the wood screws, which would save you some time. The stairs are great to use. Very stable with no bounce. As noted above, the extra wide step at the top make getting into and out of your trailer very easy. The stairs are a bit heavy to lower or lift into place but very manageable as they move on a hinge mount on the floor. There is an OEM version that has a hydraulic lift mechanism that makes the lifting process very easy. Unfortunately they don’t sell this model to aftermarket do-it-yourselers like me.My only complaint was the packing. This was not Lippert’s fault. The item i received was a return. Rather than using the factory box, whoever shipped it put it into a flimsy box with only brown paper loosely thrown in around the stairs. As a result the box was nearly ripped apart by the time we bought it. The sheet metal was bent in several places and one of the leg adjusting pins was missing. It probably fell out of the open ends of the box during shipping. I elected to fix the bent sheet metal myself as I got a great deal on the open box item. This would have been a 5 Star rating if some more care had been taken with the package.

Work great... no more bounce to the steps.

Best steps for the 5th wheel. Went on in minutes, very stable.

This is a good product well worth the money

Very easy to install, sizing chart was confusing think the wider size would of been better & would of fit, screen door required adjustment as tight against frame when in closed position, much better than fold up original steps, these are solid when step on
