Seem to work great. Strike the right balance of brightness.
The amber T10 lights in most cars are used for things like side markers and etc. As such, they absolutely should not be too bright (too bright and they could potentially interfere with visibility of your turn signals after all!) A bit of extra brightness is ok within reason -- especially since one of the biggest reasons they're limited to 4W in incandescent bulbs is to avoid melting confined areas -- but most are far too excessive. To this end, I had to search a bit to find these that seem to strike a good balance of being just bright enough to increase the visibility of your car to others without going too far and, as I said, making it harder for them to tell if your blinkers are on. I found these to be just right and feel that they have indeed helped just a bit in making it ever so slightly more visible from the side (around here people are very bad about pulling out into traffic, so this is a necessity!) As these are amber, you should not use them for other typical T10 uses such as overhead lighting, but I suppose they are at least bright enough that you could just barely read a manual page or something in an emergency. As for ease of installation, I had no real troubles. They are polarized -- they don't have a chip that reroutes power to the LED either way -- but this is typical of LEDs and anyone installing them should be used to the idea that they might have to turn it around and try again. (Just if you're installing them in tough to remove/install fixtures, make sure to check them for polarity before reinstalling the fixture or you may have to remove it and redo the process. As they are T10, other than the polarity issue, you really just slide them in place and that's pretty much it. You might have to pull the leads out a bit to make them fit more tightly in some fixtures -- this is a typical T10 format problem and not related to these LEDs specifically as even standard incandescent bulbs can have the same problem -- but these seemed to work fine in my side markers without having to do anything special. Only time will truly tell, but they feel very well built and designed to hold up for a long time to me. My side markers are part of the headlight assembly, so I worried a bit about the heat levels in there on the very long term lifetimes of anything I install in there (as in 5+ years down the road probably) but these seem to be well enough built that I feel pretty confident they'll hold up even that long just fine. Probably they will outlast my car. At which point I may bring them over to whatever I have next (though I imagine modern cars use LEDs in side markers and such anyway and may not even use a T10 format.)

Bright, Even spread light! Edit: 11-05-21
These look great. These are for lighting up the gauges, not the individual lights i.e. check engine light, seatbelt light, etc. Installed in 01 Camry, replacing the standard incandescent bulbs. I drive about a thousand miles a week and the incandescent bulbs can make the plastic weak after extreme heat. I put my hand to the gauges after an hour of driving and it almost burned me! With these LEDs, these don't produce heat. These are polarity sensitive, so it took a minute to adjust mine and get them working. My gauges only take 5 lights, so the other 7 went to the shifter, doors, license plate lights, and glovebox light. Very thrilled with these, would buy them again. EDIT: I bought these way over a year ago for my Camry, and rode that vehicle about 50k miles with these. That vehicle is undergoing a serious project, so I bought this set again for my crown victoria. None of them have burnt out, and I have had zero issues with these. They don't get hot, and they have a consistent light. I used them in the climate control module, gauge cluster, overhead light, and license plate lights.

Low energy, bright, no heat = win
Brighter than the halogen ones I replaced with. I used it to replace amber night lights in the headlights and rear truck bed light bulbs. The halogens were creating too much heat and melting everything, these LEDโs have almost no heat at all. 10/10.

enclosed LEDs mimic exact size of original filament bulbs, work great
My 2013 Prius 3 had five of its 194 peanut bulbs burn out. These bulbs are used in multiple places on the car, including (but not limited to) the license plate illumination, inside door courtesy lights, and side marker lights in the headlight housing. All my burned bulbs were associated with the switch for parking lights and headlights. The LED bulbs look almost exactly like the peanut 194 bulbs they are replacing. Same dimensions in length and diameter. Like all LED bulbs, they are polarized, so I removed each socket containing the old bulb, swapped out the old bulb with the new LED bulb, and then turned on the parking light switch. If the LED lit up, then I turned off the light switch and reinserted the bulb/socket into its location. If the LED did not illuminate, I turned off the light switch, rotated the LED by 180ยฐ, reinserted and retested. All my LED bulbs worked properly after their polarity was successfully implemented. (In my case, all the sockets are twist-and-turn type.) The LED bulbs are much brighter than than the filament bulbs they replaced. Also a nice white light. I am very happy with these bulbs. Not sure how many of these little peanut bulbs are in my Prius, but if I need to get more, I will definitely reorder this brand.

Great price and look to be very good quality.
A great value for the money! Very easy to install and bright. I used these for license plate lights and they should last indefinitely, unlike the old bulbs. May be too bright for dash lights but work great for the plate light.

Polarity sensitive. Added update. Another added update...
Installed in a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ. Likes: Easy to install, bright, reasonably priced, perfect fit. Not really a dislike. But polarity sensitive. If you install it, and it doesn't light. Remove from socket and install 180ยฐ, and reinstall. This will save many people from freaking out and sending them back. Update. Since buying them about 6 months ago in a pack of 12. I have had 1 fall apart and it quit working. 3 have had a flickering issue. If I push the map light buttons on the 2 installed in the very front of my 02 Trailblazer (pass and driver side) they quit flickering. How ever. The 3rd which was installed above the license plate flickered it's last flicker. I'll take it out and see if it fell apart or just died. Down to 7 of 12 working. The remainder of the bulbs seem to be trouble free

Great bulbs for old car
These bulbs were direct replacements in my 1976 car. They work great lighting up my dashboard. Much brighter than the old original bulbs. Very easy to install.
