Summer of the Sea Serpent (Magic Tree House Merlin Mission)

I've always been fond of the Magic Tree House series as these were the books that made my son a reader! However, after dozens of books, my son started to get tired of the same series and showed no interest in reading the last several books. Inspite of this, I had to buy this book when I saw the cover - a Sea Serpent - that had to be intriguing! Dreaded mom that I am - I made my son read this book! He protested for about one minute - and then he was hooked! While the first 20 books or so of the series are for younger readers, the last ones have "grown" and appeal to the 9 - 12 year old range. Full of adventure - this series just keeps getting better! If your child thinks they've outgrown this series - pick up a copy of this book - you never know - they may just find themselves hooked once again on the magical adventures of Jack and Annie!

This is another winner. My grandson got turned on to reading through her thoroughly exciting and informative series. He knows I keep several more on hand. When he is finished reading one, he is anticipating the next. This is another special one in her series. I read them too so we can talk about each exciting adventure. Keep writing Ms. Osborne. You have several more loyal followers.

I loved the book because it was adventurous and magical!! There was giant snakes, magic swords and wizards! One of my favorite parts was when they turnd into seals and swam threw Jellyfish cove! It was one of the best books I had ever read!!!😃😃😁😆

This was the first book we downloaded and my son loved it. As an 8-yr-old boy, he loves the Magic Treehouse series. This was also incentive for him to read and then play Angry Birds.

This is a fun book and my six-year old has really enjoyed it! He said he is going to keep it forever! This story was easy enough for him to read but challenging enough to keep him engaged. He was wanting more as he went along in the story and became enthralled in its plot. It was truly heartwarming to see him perk up, get so excited about being able to read mostly by himself and to see he book through to the end. This book has now gone from just a children's novel to a piece of family history :)

I love this book because its very interesting and my favorite character was the spider queen because she was really nice and kind. I wold hope my friend Naomi reads this fabulous book because she is interested in Magic Tree House books to so I would love if she would read it. I bet she would love it!

Perfect reading for my 7 year old

My 8 year old can't read these books fast enough. We love Magic Tree House. It is a great series to read together or alone for the kids.

子供（小学生）が読んでも大人が読んでも面白いです。Magic tree house に比べて、お話の展開が複雑で面白いです。ドキドキする場面もありますが、最後はアメリカ的にハッピーエンドなのも安心して読めるポイントです。英検２級で、多読な感じにストレスなく楽しく読めました。時々知らない単語もあり、辞書をひいても良いし、辞書なしで読み進めても大丈夫な感じです。このシリーズではギリシャ神話や、アーサー王物語、ヨーロッパの伝説の生き物なども登場し、文化も含めて大人でも初めて知る事があります。さらっとギリシャ神話とか楽しめるお子さんに向いてるかと思います。

This was my fav series of book when I was 10. Found this book 1 st time in my school library.
