Staple for followers of Hekate
I've been working with Hekate for several years, but I just got this book. It's incredible and full of information and exercises. I'm not finished with the book yet, but so far, the author knows what she's talking about and seems to have a great handle on Hekate and the Hekatean path. IMHO, this book is a staple for any Priest, Priestess, or Torchbearer of Hekate. Highly recommend!

Number one book to read
Number one book to read to understand Hekate. This book had gotten me to understand my Mother Goddess Hekate much better. I also feel that the initiation that was in the back was more powerful then just a coven initiation. I just love this book.

10/10 Worth Owning in Physical Form
A very good book for witches who are looking for a structured way approach Hekate, but with enough room for a chaos witch to move in. The love the author has for Her is evident in all of the historical research she has done/is still doing. For the more advanced practitioner and those seeking a guide to go deeper there are youtube videos, a blog, and even a fb study group.Dr. Brannen also has a pinterest and instagram account devoted to Hekate. She also has classes so I find her openly sharing all of these resources to be extra amazing. If you're so solitary of a witch that you don't want to ever speak to another soul this book is also perfect, as it is self contained and self initiatory. It's clear on all accounts that this isn't just a piece of fluff churned out to cash in on witchcraft being "in" again. Nor does it tear down other practices or works just to build itself up.And though it is written for witches in particular, since it stands on it's own merits and is inclusive it can be of use to anybody who wishes a relationship with Hekate. This is one of those books where I'd gift somebody their own copy as opposed to loaning them mine.

Hekate Has Your Key
This book is a self realization workbook that uses the very real magic of the Goddess Hekate. Cyndi Brannen’s insights are linked to both her degrees in psychology and her progressive approach to witchcraft. But you do real work on yourself throughout. You must account for everything within your own self observation ritual journal. The keepers of her keys make up anybody who accepts Hekate’s help and devotes the hour a day: a time she demands to get you on your path of self growth. Cyndi’s esteemed psychology fieldwork is evident in her methodical approach to this growth. You must accept the year’s commitment and follow lessons running month to month from (ideally from a New Moon). To become solid representatives of Hekate’s virtuous epithets, you have to do real work. Your spells are done in ways familiar but the power behind them is as individualized as you are. To invoke Hekate is to bring her form that makes the most sense to your life experience and your understanding of personal pain. But it truly offers a path to complete a deep transformation in your search for powerful and real magic. If you take Brannen’s guidelines and merge those to your own intentions, you have a Hekate in your corner. You will develop and posses very real and powerful magic.

Good book with a few caveats
The subtitle of this book clearly states it is a guide to "Hekate's Modern Witchcraft," and I think a few more critical reviewers have perhaps missed this. This isn't a book of traditional witchcraft, it's a book of modern witchcraft. It doesn't make an attempt to recreate the religious practices of Ancient Greece in regard to Hekate. Instead, it pulls Hekate and some elements of ancient Hekatean worship into practices that are common in modern witchcraft. This book (like most books) isn't for everyone. If you don't want to place a great amount of emphasis or effort into working with Hekate, or you are looking for a traditional witchcraft approach to working with Hekate, this book probably won't satisfy you.If you want a good introduction to Hekate or you want to develop a relationship with Hekate within the confines of a modern witchcraft approach, this is an excellent place to start.
