Can i turn it off ? I don’t want it to ring when I am in the place that i can see my customer coming.

You simply put the receiver in the place that you will be when you CANT see your customers and turn the volume down so you only hear it in that location...

Can this alert me if I leave the door open?

No. The sensor will only activate when they pass each other. One is placed on the door itself (and is moveable) and the other on the frame of the door (stationary). When the pass each other (and they have to be lined up right), it will activate the chime.

can each sensor trigger a different chime

The table on the Amazon page claims that it can, but I have not been able to get it to. Following the directions to do this just changes the chime for all the sensors. Their instructions: "Fixed-tone: Adding a door sensor with a FIXED receiver ringtone... 1- Short press ringtone button, select tone, 2- Long press both buttons simultaneously (receiver beeps once), 3- Open and close sensor, 4- Open and close sensor again, 5 - short press volume button, 6 - Open and close sensor to check"

Can it be used on a rough door frame ?

It's ok as long as the door sensor is pasted firmly on this rough door frame ,and the installation gap with magnetic strip is not exceed 0.4inch.
