Ikea Spoka Night Light - Short

I love the size and the softness of this night light - it's perfect for my baby's nursery! Since it's a soft silicon-like material on the outside, I have no worries about baby knocking it off the table and shattering it, which I worried about with some other lights.Pros: * rechargeable * lasts through the night on a charge * 3 color options: blue-white (brightest) red (very dim), and a yellow-orange (right in the middle). I use the yellow-orange setting for the nursery - it provides enough light that I can navigate the room at night but it's not so bright to disturb the baby's sleepCons: * no color memory. Every time you turn the nightlight off and on again, it cycles through all the colors starting at the beginning. Since the yellow-orange is the 3rd and last color it cycles through, I have to wait for the night light to cycle through the first two before I can set it for the night. And it doesn't cycle through the colors super quickly, so I find this a bit annoying. Would love it if the light remembered what color it was when I turned it off, and returned it to that color when I turned it back on. * not necessarily a knock on the product itself, but this is significantly cheaper in store. You definitely pay for the convenience of not having to drive to and navigate an Ikea to purchase this online!

My 3 year old loves this light! It is cool to the touch. Long battery life and colors are nice. Only thing that could be improved is the quality of the cable... I have had to replace the whole light 3 times just to have a cord that works... the cord snaps off if you pull too hard.. that is why this didn't get 5 stars. Otherwise it's fabulous!

Cute light. I was really looking for something a little brighter, so I could see what I was doing at night, but its not really for that. I like it though!

We have owned 4 of these since my son was born--he's now almost 8 years old. He loves everything about it both in terms of how it looks and feels. We freeze it on a dark color as a night light, but you can also use it as a light to change a sleepy baby with, or as a light to walk to the bathroom or move around a hotel room without waking everyone up. We buy two at a time because we love them so much, and they do tend to break after a couple of years, but they're pretty durable. We use them every night and when we travel, and none of them have broken or had the bulb burn out faster than 2 years. The one we're on now has been going steady every night for 3 or 4 years. We've had both the short and tall model, and love them.

Bought this as a night light for my nursery and I love it! It has a setting to freeze on a color or let it rotate through the rainbow. I use on the freeze setting and it allows enough light for me to see my baby's face in the night as well as do a diaper change without waking him significantly. I have used it once on the battery and it lasted a full 8 hours. It is about the size of your palm and excellent for travelling. Other reviewers mentioned it burned out sooner than they would like, however with this price and the excellent fit for our nursery I would buy again if this occurs.

Loved this night light for my baby's room, but after using it for just over a month it broke. When turned on after that point, the light would shut off and wouldn't stay on for long even after fully charged. I contacted seller for a refund but because it was more than 30 days, they wouldn't remedy it. A product should last more than a month. Cute light, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Our nightlights were either too dim or too bright until we discovered this light. It provides just enough light to see around the room in the dark but not so much that it disrupts our sleep. We make it red for the night and keep it purple during the day so my daughter knows its time for nap or bed when her "bunny light" is red. She loves it and the first thing she does every morning is ask that we turn the light purple so we can wake up and start the day.

This product is unique and high quality. I ordered a replacement for the one we lost and my children love it. Battery life is great and it changes colors at a soothing pace. It glows just bright enough to make a good night light for kids. They can see enough to not get scared but dim enough to let them sleep. The rubber it is made out of holds up well to children playing with frequently and even sleeping in bed with it. I love this product.
