Great protector if you don't mind the rubbery feel
Though a new OnePlus 6T comes with a preinstalled plastic screen protector with a solid glass-like feel, it also scratches super easily. I wanted a better solution, and already finding myself okay with a non-glass screen protector and hearing less-than-stellar reviews about every tempered glass screen protector out there (including the official one!), I gave this one a try.I feel a little bad giving this protector three stars. For the most part, this screen protector delivers exactly what it promises, and Skinomi has a pretty good screen protector here. It is very easy to apply; as long as you liberally apply the solution to both sides of the protector and fingers and follow the instructions, you'll be able to align the screen protector perfectly before the adhesive "catches". From there, you can easily squeegee out the solution and bubbles. I ended up with a few tiny bumps near the edges... one on the bottom, one on the left side. I figure this is my fault, and it's only obvious or annoying if I'm looking for it. The protector completely covers the viewing area of the screen, with just enough extra on every edge to prevent a halo lighting effect common with screen protectors that are too narrow or misaligned. In practice, the screen's self-healing is no joke. This, however, is a double-edged sword. I can make a deep imprint with my fingernail, and it will start repairing itself within a few minutes, becoming invisible and back to normal within an hour or so. But, yes... I can make a deep impression with my fingernail. If you're tapping on your phone with any nail at all, you're going to leave tiny indents that will indeed repair over time, but the relative "softness" of the screen is quite jarring if you're used to glass. In addition to that, the texture is not indistinguishable from glass. It has more friction than glass, providing a bit more resistance than you might be used to on swipes and drags. This is easy to get accustomed to, and that's coming from an avid Pokémon Go player! It hasn't caused any real issues in practice, but something to be aware of.For what Skinomi promises, it's hard to fault them, since none of it is really false. They promise "HD Clear", "glass-like", "True Touch" promises in relation to the screen. I can't say any of these are wrong, but they are convincing marketing terms, and the reason I bought it! The first and last one don't really mean anything, and it is "glass-like" in that it isn't exactly glass but still allows me to look at my screen and swipe around with a feel that's ALMOST glassy. However, with a little bit of glare you'll notice a bit of a "bubbly" texture on this screen that, again, hints that this isn't exactly glass. Looking head-on without glare, you'll never notice it, but it might annoy you if you're looking at the phone with the screen off.Skinomi doesn't promise any fingerprint resistance. This is also true... this thing picks up and holds onto that finger oil like crazy, and they're really difficult to polish off compared to glass with oleophobic coating. The edges of the protector also pick up dust that is also difficult to remove. I didn't experience either of these issues with the built-in protector, so it's a big miss here. The fingerprint scanner still works, but it's much less consistent.Overall, while I find it hard to find where Skinomi misses on what it promises, the qualities that the screen protector lacks that might come inherent with tempered glass are just issues I can't overlook. If you don't mind the drawbacks, go for this. For me... I'll keep seeking out a TGSP.

Temporary Solution Until OnePlus (OFFICIAL) Tempered Glass is in stock
As the title hints, this is something I've purchased with the intent of replacing. In the meantime however I can guarantee you this is the most unusual installation process I've ever come across.. Literally. The ease of installation is a bit of a mixed bag; on the one hand it's forgiving enough to let you slip and slide, on the downside the more time you spend trying to get things right the more time you're allowing dust and debris to potentially find its' way in and set under the protector. This is a rubber based material so initially after install you may notice "rainbows", that's because of the liquid beneath the protector not yet having dried up (evaporated through) or you're wet/sweaty hands. Which is why you're recommended to not handle it much when it's first applied. There isn't any compromised in terms of how the screen/colors look, as well as vibrancy. But the feel is a bit awkward, it's not fully plastic or glass at the end of the day, so there's a sufficient amount of friction that's noticeable when you slide your fingers on it. Is that necessarily a bad thing? No, but you will certainly be conscientious about it.That being said, I think it's an okay screen protector if you're looking to keep it safe from small stuff. Again- My rationale was to get something in the present time until OnePlus brings their tempered glass protector to the US officially, tempered glass is the way to go if you want the best protection for the display directly. And given the fingerprint sensor is in the display, I've opted to wait for their because many other 6T "tempered glass protectors" out right now either cover the sides of the display or break functioning the fingerprint sensor's accuracy.. Take your pick.

Installation is key: be generous with the spray!
ABOUT STICKING/ NOT ADHERING RIGHT: I see a lot of people complaining about their protector sticking and not adhering right. You NEED to be generous with the spray. Spray the hell out of the sticky side and spray your fingers. Make sure your hands are literally dripping and so is the protector. That will give you the flexibility you need. Then, squeegee and you'll enjoy the results in about 24 hours. The protector will be hazy for a bit but the end result is a smooth surface that I much, much, much prefer over a tempered glass protector.ABOUT MICRO SCRATCHES WHILE APPLYING: I applied the protector as directed and I thought I made a huge mistake. I used a card to remove the bubbles and I realized the card made a bunch of micro scratches. I was disappointed in my efforts so I just left it alone and figured I'd use it as is for a bit and then I'll switch over to the second protector. When I woke up morning, all of the scratches are gone. This protector has some awesome regenerative qualities. DO NOT be afraid if you're in the same situation. Give it some time and see if they'll work themselves out.FINAL THOUGHTS: The other thing that impresses me is the feel of the protector. It's super smooth. I've had wet application protectors in the past, but they usually feel tacky after they cure. This protector is super smooth. I'll definitely give my recommendation on this one.

The best screen protectors going.
I've used these before in other phones and always found them easy enough to apply and with the same smooth, bubble free, invisible finish as ever. When I'm changing phones now, I'll always have one of these on order as soon as I buy the phone. They keep the screen in pristine condition and I've never yet seen them mark or scratch at all.Especially for a phine with a slightly rounded edge to the screen, these are by fsr the best protectors available and well worth the money.Once on, you don't know it is there and rhere is enough time in wet fitting it to get the placement absolutely prefect wirhout peeling it up & plonking it down again or needing stick on hinges like the hard plastic types. If you're buying skinomi for the first time : read the instructions and if you still are unsure follow the link to the videos, it'll help you get a feel for what to do and make for a perfect fit.I should add that I am a paying customer & skinomi have never be3nnin contact or approached me for a review at all. ( I seem to be getting a few approaches recently offering products in return for reviews. I do not do that, I'd rather review based on having spent my own money and how I feel about the product with cash in their pot)

Best screen protectors out there
I've been using Skinomi screen protectors for my Oneplus 5, Pixel 3 XL and the Oneplus 6t.They're by far the best! There is no blocking the borders of the screen like with some of those for the 6t. It self heals as well(I don't know if they advertise that) and is the easiest to apply accurately. You also get 2 so if you mess up you can try again. To apply this follow their guide but you don't need to wait for 12 hours or anything of that sort, just use a blow dryer on low heat! You will have some rainbow issues for the first few hours as the liquid underneath it dries up but it will all be gone in a day or two.I will always buy these protectors! They work with any case as well

Anders aber gut
Keine konventionelle Folie.
