This makes exceptionally clear spheres! The build is simple and nice. Black foam on the outside and a plastic container to hold the water, the mold is made of silicon for easy removal. The only complaint I have is rinsing the ice out of the container out every time if you want very clear spheres, otherwise it’s only half way clear with bubbles and cloudiness on the other half.

I like this clear ball maker. I do have a tip for some who have said it doesn't get real clear and still see some bubbles in the ball. I use bottled water. I put a bottle (1/2 liter) at room temperature in the bottom to the rib that the insert rests on. Then I put the mold in and I fill the insert through the holes on top with cold refrigerated water. You have to go back and forth between the two holes so that the coldest water is divided evenly in the cavities and the room temperature water stays at the bottom. That way the cavity gets colder faster and virtually eliminates an awful lot of the bubbles. At least it has worked for me. Good luck.

Very easy to make ice, but getting it clear is tricky. This ice maker works by allowing the ice to freeze slowly from the top, while impurities and air bubbles are pushed out the holes in the bottom, resulting in perfectly clear ice cubes. So far, I haven’t quite had the results I’d like, and I think it may require adjusting the freezer temp so the ice freezes, but slowly enough that the air bubbles all escape. I’m getting clear ice, not cloudy, but with streaks from where the air is pushed out the bottom hole. Anyway, I like it a lot - perfect sized cubes for whiskey or other spirits.

We always drink with ice, ice cubes is part of our nutrition in this house. I came across this product and I bought it knowing it’s impossible to create crystal clear ice and probably won’t work, I just knew this one I’ll end up returning but this is really very very cool, crystal clear ice. I don’t know if I need but I’m defiantly keeping it, its just way too cool and so interesting

Absolutely crystal clear ice cubes!! Simple to use, and works every time. Allows completely unobstructed view of bourbon in your glass.Only minimal drawback is that if lower reservoir is allowed to completely freeze, must thaw and remove ice from reservoir before next use. Would be nice if frozen reservoir was easily removable so you could utilize the large ice chunk for coolers, drink tubs, etc. vs just melting and throwing away.

Makes two crystal clear ice spheres. It was easy to use and remove from the container after they were ready. I let them stay in the freezer for 2 days. Had no issues.

I really like how easy and simple it is. Follow the instructions and you will have perfect clear ice balls. Easy to use and fun. Fill it.. freeze it and your done. Repeat. Highly recommend.

Product pictures are very misleading. They seem to indicate that the product includes both square and sphere molds but I only received the mold for cubes!
