The best feature of this cane is that it can stand alone. The secomd best is that the feet of the cane are all seasonal. Thirdly the fold up feature makes for easy laying it aside as needed. I lost my first one. And immediately got another.

After I read all of your reviews on this product I could not wait to write mine! I have only had this a few days so another review might be helpful in a month. But for now, it DOES "Stand Alone" on compacted carpet, wood flooring and tile. That should not be the issue here though. The important thing to look for is "How well it performs". I had a cane for 7 years and it was just a stick. I wish I had the wide pad that is on this then. Much more stable! So if it leans in a corner or on the edge of your chair, so what? At least it is in reach! (You should not lean any cane on a flat edge or round edge counter as it WILL fall down). I will give it time for the rubber pads to fall off. If they do there is always "Superglue"! The whole idea here is to have a pad that will support you. Come on people about the "Clicking noise when you walk"! Hello! My rubber tipped cane always made a thump. My friends could always hear me coming down the sidewalk and wherever! At least they knew where I was! Wooden canes make a click on any surface except carpet. A lot of people that have canes do not have sharp hearing so you all must have great ears! The company really did do false advertising and that was their "Fatal" mistake. All they bragged about was it was a: "Stand Alone Cane". Who cares? They need to fix that major blunder and emphasize the "Benefits" of having such a great cane. The handle is not custom made but you can get different ones. It was a cheap plastic one but if you notice the design it will fit almost any hand ergonomically. If you want a better fit, get another one at a Medical supply or on the web. They cannot possibly make a: "One size handle fits all". When you fold it up and then undo it, it is suppose to spring back together. Much easier than trying to put the pieces together! Mine folds up and goes into a nice snap fit pouch. So, forget the: "Stand Alone" stuff and look at the benefits. I will write again if mine starts to fall apart. But, I am pleased with the design. Nothing is perfect when something new comes out. I am sure the company looks at these comments and makes future improvements on this. All companies do that! So, your comments are very valuable to them. Keep them coming! PS: Don't know why they called it: "TheHurryCane!". You don't want to hurry on a cane!

The HurryCane is very helpful to people with mobility concerns. It is light weight but sturdy. The handle is very comfortable and it is convenient that the cane stands on its own on most surfaces, It falls over easily, however, if it is touched at all.

I bought this on Amazon just one week post operative for a total knee replacement. I had been discharged with a walker which I didn't like at home, it was clumsy and didn't fit easily through doorways. I switched to crutches and that was alright for a day or two then went to one crutch. The tip of the crutch would stumble sometime over the carpet or threshold to a doorway. I saw the commercial for the HurryCane and thought it looked like it would be a good option for me over the single crutch. It arrived very quickly, 2 days I think. It was comfortable right away and offered me the stability and confidence to dispose of the single crutch for good. Although it does balance on end when you set it down, you really have to set it slowly or it will tip over. I think if the base was just a little larger all around, even 1/2 inch that it would be easier to place it down upright without it falling. The design of the base and how it pivots is just wonderful. The three rubber pads on the bottom make it absolutely slip-proof. I started out-patient physical therapy this week and told my therapist how much I like this cane. She said she has also received positive feedback from her patients who have purchased it. Although I haven't yet had to fold the cane, it does fold into three parts and comes with a carrying bag. The company that sells HurryCane has excellent customer service. It's just a great cane and I don't think anyone would regret buying it.
