25mm Barb to 1" BSP Thread Male Hosetail

I suspect these are intended to seal with a rubber washer on the face (not supplied), however, trying to seal the threads has proven impossible.PTFE Tape - FailLocktite 5776 Thread Seal - FailI've since ordered some different ones which seal perfectly without PTFE or Locktite. I can only conclude that the thread is not properly formed to BSP standard and was never intended to seal on the thread.The barb is also on the small side for 13mm - easy to pull the hose off, so it needs a hose clip.

Nice cheap way of connecting a standard garden hose to a standard tap screw. I use it to connect a hose to garden trays for greenhouse irrigation. NB doesn't come with a washer.
