The Complete Guide to Modern Massage: Step-by-Step Massage Basics and Techniques from Around the World

Ladies. It was a great idea...but if your husband is like mine...avoid all the work of having to read (most men hate reading instructions!!) and just get a video version. Otherwise yes. It's good for technique.

Great basic book. Organized, well written, presented in straightforward manner. Easy read, useful to consider the plusses of massage as a treatment of well intentioned comfort, stress reliever, and possible directive to more formal learning.

The individual strokes are well described and illustrated so I was able to work through them with very little study. However, there isn’t a good progression. That is, I had to flip back and forth several times to move through one massage sequence. Overall, a good introduction for someone like me who just wants to give a little better back rub.

Great book

I've been a massage therapist for over 12 years & sometimes need new inspiration, ideas or a way to jog my memory of techniques I'd forgotten. This book is a quick read & has helped me with this! I wish there was a companion video. The Massage Nerd is known for his videos, which is what led me to buy this book :-) The illustrations & descriptions are very helpful, however!

Good complete guide for healing for beginners. Alot of techniques explained. Thank you. ☺️

The book has decent information, but it is pretty over-simplified in my opinion. I'm not sure it has enough detail to really give you everything you need to know, but it's a good introduction.

I thought it would be able to show me more on how to massage people but based on what I’ve been doing there isn’t much else i can really learn from this book. I do keep it for reference for friends and family who want to massage their significant other better but that’s about it
