Happy with this, perfect fit for an old Thor hammer company mallet that my Dad has had for donkeys years, so chuffed and surprised they haven’t changed the fitment in all these years

Its very good. Only issues are 1) Getting the old one out... hardly the fault of the new part bit my 1950s hammer did take some convincing to let go of the old one and b) Putting the new one in. Its a very tight fit. I bevelled the edge of the new one to give it a starting point. Once I got it started just using the hammer to bash it in worked fine. Once firmly in place its a great fit and works really well.

I acquired my trusty copper and hide hammer when I was an apprentice, in the 1960's. It has served me well, over the years, working on my various cars and jobs about the home. The hide face had become very ragged and was almost at the point of disintegration from hammering in wooden fence posts, so the new one has restored it beautifully. I'm almost tempted to treat it to a new copper face also!

I like the fact that I can buy this spare head so when or if the day comes when I need to replace the head I have a spare ready to be fitted. I did a test fit and everything was ok. I like the fact that Thor are a British company (family owned) and the hammer is Made in Britain.

Seems like decent quality. Unfortunately the thread size has been changed since I bought my Thorex mallet as it is too small to screw into it. The larger diameter head has the correct thread for my mallet but the head diameter is too big

Makes my hammers functional again- just needs to be screwed in.

Do not buy, unless it’s as a gag gift or to harm others.Spent the premium on this face as it was sold as heavy duty.First strike, the face exploded into a dozen jagged, sharp plastic pieces. 90% of which, hit my coworker(small win).Seriously though, these are overpriced, dangerous and essentially made from hard candy

parfait, en tout point, pas trop lourd, par contre très compact, on peut taper dessus pendant des heures sans probleme.

La pièce que j'ai reçue n'est pas identique à la photo et de fait à l'original.Cette pièce est une pièce coulée avec des GROS GRAINS dont j'ai un doute sur l'homogénéité de la pièce, je dirais avec inclusion d'impuretés.Pour le prix vendu c'est inacceptable.
