Is it leg or shoulder?

Hello Maria D. Thanks for your interest in one of our products. Yes, this is the front leg or shoulder which usually weight between 12 and 13 pounds. We also sell the back leg, both, alone and in a Economic Kit, you can check it out is listed in Amazon too. The back leg weights 20 pounds and is much more expensive though. The great taste of this ham is pretty much the same front or back leg but if your party or event is for more than 20 people I would definitely recommend to go for the bigger back leg, otherwise I'm 100 percent confident you will love this ham. Hi we started carving this ham, looks great so far and taste really good. Question: Should I cover it with olive oil or use same fat from leg?

Hello Ernest, either way you can use the same ham fat (pink or white color fat, never use the yellow fat) or some fabric with olive oil to cover your ham for next slicing session.
