Necessary for some newer cars.
Crush washers were new to me and I had to go to You Tube to research them. I found out how they worked, but nobody said which side was to go to the pan and which was to go to the plug. Turns out that the flat side goes to the plug and the raised side goes to the pan. Worked well and did not require a lot of torque to tighten the plug.

These work great as a cheaper alternative to the OEM oil drain crush washers from Subaru. Never had a problem yet.

Quality is mostly good.
3/10 washers have rust. Haven't tested the product yet, but if 3 more clean ones can be sent and if the oil does not leak, I will change my review.
