The Language of God Francis S. Collins

Excellent book by prominent scientist deconstructing the stereotype that science and religion are at odds. He dispels myths and debates extremist positions on both sides of the discourse.

Very helpful explanation of different approaches to issues surrounding science and faith, especially Christianity, plus fascinating scientific information about advances in genetics. The author makes a cogent case for "BioLogos" (more commonly known as theistic evolution), providing a way that people can embrace both the Bible and science as reliable sources of information about the universe God has created.

Heartening to read of a scientist who participated in the discovery of the human genome and retained a belief in a Christian God.

The book, Language of God, came without delay and was in great condition. This is turning out to me my favorite way of purchasing books.

This was an outstanding treatment of faith and science! I appreciated the clarity of Collins' scientific insights but also his personal reflections on the limits of scientific inquiry.

Too scientific! Hard to read,

Read this for a book group. Would never have read otherwise. Too much scientific detail. Author had a difficult time getting to the point.
