Worth the investment
I have been using the keyboard for less than a year, but it has been a pleasant experience so far. I mainly use it for home recording with Logic Pro, and it works really well. The keys have a realistic feel and it's fun and "simple"(friendly) to use.I definitely recommend it for anyone with a home studio or similar.

Worth the money and beautiful sound
We got this for our son who composes music regularly. He has been inspired the last month and produced more than ever. Integrated well with his Mac and programs for sound design. Really wonderful sound.Ability to use DAW for recording, sound volume, design - he is very productive.

It rocks!
Awesome MIDI controller, have been using it to play live with ableton. It's just awesome, and has given me no problems.

Defective unit.
The keyboard arrived, seemingly in mint condition. No dings, great packaging and a durable, weighty instrument for a MIDI Controller. However...it will not turn on. The power will not function. It is a defective unit. For the price I paid, it is ridiculous that this instrument doesn't turn on, and the fact I will have to wait until they receive the item back to get a refund is equally absurd. When I received a damaged Ultrawide Monitor, everything was replaced and they picked it up right from my house. In this scenario, I have to print a shipping label, find a UPS. Completely tedious situation, set back my work for several days. Absolutely terrible situation.

Great overall keyboard with tons of features. With that said...
I did not own the keyboard for very long, and ultimately had to return it, due to keys randomly not registering in FL Studio. I'm not sure if this is a problem with FL Studio, my USB cable, or the keyboard itself, but when playing the keyboard with any sort of speed, there would be random keys that would not give any input within FL Studio. I thought this might be a problem with the velocity, but checking the velocity within FL Studio's grand piano plugin, I was able to verify there was no input from the key. It also wasn't any specific key. It was completely random which key wouldn't register. Very strange. One other issue I had was with quality control. When I first opened the box and started playing the keys, I noticed a very strange ticking noise coming from one of the keys. After some investigating, I noticed that there was a very small piece of plastic sticking out from the key to the left, which was coming into contact with the key to it's left, making a ticking noise when pressed. I managed to fix this relatively minor issue by removing the piece of plastic that was sticking out. To be clear, this small piece of plastic was actually part of the key itself. It looks as if during the injection molding process, someone didn't remove the sprues properly. Novation take note! (no pun intended)Another issue I have with this keyboard is the feel of the keys. The keys are semi-weighted, and they actually feel quite good - if you don't press down too hard and fast. If you press the keys down hard and fast, you will notice that the keys start to "pivot", and the end of the key (in the back) will hit the top of the inside of the case, causing a very noticeable "clack" noise. I'm not sure if this is intended, but it doesn't feel right at all. This keyboard does have aftertouch, but I've owned other keyboards with aftertouch, and they don't require the keys to be pressed down so hard they "pivot" and come into contact with the back of the case itself. It's a very strange feeling. If you don't press the keys too hard or fast, this doesn't happen, but you'll have to do some velocity curve editing within FL Studio to eliminate the need to press that hard in order to get full velocity without the clacking noise from the keys. To be clear, every key does this. Just press down the the very tip of the key, and keep pressing down until the key "pivots" and starts to raise up in the back, hitting the case. I suppose opening the case and adding some foam back there would solve this problem, but I'm not sure that it's actually a problem. Is this intended behavior? If so, what is the "pivot" action for? Is it part of the aftertouch? If so, I will add a start to this review. As far as features go, I would say that this keyboard works very well with Ableton Live. It was designed with this software in mind, so that makes sense. It's packed full of options, and the on screen menus are easy to navigate. I did not spend much time with the keyboard, so I cannot give a full review. Just be aware of the above issues that I ran into. Perhaps you will have better luck with FL Studio, but I could not fix the random key problem I mentioned above. I'm giving this 3 stars for now. I would still recommend this keyboard if you're into Ableton Live, but watch out for the above key issues.

Looks awesome. Works not as awesome.
As another reviewer posted, yes if you play fast, it WILL drop notes. That was a deal breaker and made the board completely unusable to me. At first I thought I was mistaken, but then it did it again, and again! That’s outrageous! Major let down. It’s also way over priced in my opinion. $699? I returned it and got an Arturia Keylab61 MkII and saved $250 and it’s AWESOME! I also own a Novation Launchkey 61 and have never had a problem, but the SL mkIII desperately needs a mkIV upgrade. Good luck out there! 🎹

Received used/refurbished keyboards.
Bought the first keyboard, it was clearly used. Bought a second one to hopefully receive a new unboxed keyboard, but received another used/refurbished keyboard. Frustrating when you paid for a brand new keyboard, not something that has been used and returned. The second keyboard even had a sticker marking it as refurbished

Sequencer is rad
I haven’t had this for long, but I’m already in love with it. Novation makes great gear. Packaging and accessories are pro. I have a lot to learn about it’s full capability. I got the sequencer going in no time from watching a few tutorial reviews. Looking forward to writing a more detailed review down the road.

Top Midi - Keyboard
