Sunny Double Gauze fabric is lightweight, breathable, and is perfect for making muslin swaddle blankets, muslin quilts, baby bedding, baby clothing, burp cloths, lightweight clothing, and accessories. Double gauze is a specialty textile that is made when two layers of gauze are woven simultaneously and joined on the loom. Although the fabric is technically double-layered, the fabric behaves as a single layer and will not separate. Double gauze, also called "muslin" in the baby product industry, is known for its ultra-soft hand and crinkly texture. This product is delivered flat with noticeable 1-inch grid lines throughout the fabric, but will crinkle and soften after the first wash. Grid lines are less noticeable after washing. For best results, do not prewash this fabric before sewing. Like all cotton textiles, some shrinkage - about 3 to 5 % - is expected after the first wash.
