Its a thick cover ? Any comparison with the original one which were shipped in the box ?

It is thicker and sturdy as compared to what we get in packing. I am using this since I bought my 6T. Since then mobile fell numorous times and I have no worries as this case is perfect for such shocks. Provided something protruding doesn't come in contact with screen. The look is premium too. My verdict, go for it.
